Jury Leave and Court Appearance. 11.9.1 A teacher shall be entitled to as many days leave as are necessary for jury duty or to appear in court in regard to District litigation. 11.9.2 The teacher shall inform his/her immediate supervisor of a summons for jury duty or other court appearances and provide documentation in sufficient time for a substitute to be employed. 11.9.3 The juror’s fee, exclusive of mileage, received by the teacher shall be deposited to the credit of the District. 11.9.4 Upon returning to work from jury duty the employee shall submit a letter from the appropriate court indicated the days and times that the employee served. Only the time actually served in the “on call room” or in the courtroom in the active jury pool or on the jury is excused. The employee is expected to be at work while waiting for notice to appear and/or after being released from service. If release time is after 12:00 noon, the employee will confer with the site administrator for return time or waiver.

Time served in the “on call room,” in the courtroom in the active jury pool, on the jury, and travel time for jury service is excused. 18.2.6 Employees reporting for jury duty shall be released for such purpose and shall receive wages for the period of absence an amount which, when combined with his/her jury duty fee, will total his/her regular salary. 18.2.7 Day shift employees reporting for jury service who are dismissed from service at or before 12 noon, and have four (4) hours remaining on shift, shall report to work to complete their regular shift. If release time is after 12:00 noon, the employee shall confer with the site administrator for return time or waiver. 18.2.8 An evening shift full time employee reporting for jury service and dismissed from service at or before 12 noon shall report to work for one-half (1/2) of their regular shift. 18.2.9 Part-time employees reporting and dismissed from jury service during the day shall not be required to report to work that day.

Jury Leave and Court Appearance. As citizens of the United States and the State of Missouri, Members are subject to being subpoenaed to court for the purpose of serving as jurors. In an effort to encourage City employees to meet their civic responsibilities, the City shall pay full time employees serving on jury duty full compensation for absences from scheduled work for the duration of that duty. Any pay received by the employee resulting from this service shall be submitted to the City Finance Officer.

  • Court Appearance (a) In the event an Employee is required to appear before a court of law as a member of a jury, as a witness in a criminal matter or as a witness in any matter arising out of the Employee’s employment with the Employer, the Employee shall: (i) suffer no loss of regular earnings for the scheduled Shift(s) so missed; (ii) be paid an amount equal to the Employee’s average daily earnings at the Basic Rate of Pay to a maximum of the Employee’s regularly scheduled daily hours for each day in attendance in court on a scheduled day of rest, and be granted an alternate day of rest as scheduled by the Employer. Such rescheduling of the day of rest shall not be construed to be a violation of the scheduling provisions of Article 7:

  • Court Appearances If an employee is subpoenaed to appear as a witness in a job-related court case, not during the employee’s regularly assigned shift, the employee shall be credited for actual time worked, or a minimum of two and one-half hours, whichever is greater.

  • Court Approval This Agreement is subject to approval of the courts with respect to participating carriers in the hands of receivers or trustees.
