Kindergarten. The class size shall not exceed twenty-five (25). However, if additional students are added to a kindergarten class one (1) hour of aide time shall be allocated to that class for each additional student. In no instance shall kindergarten class size exceed twenty-six (26). Additional students coming into a class following March 1 of the school year shall not count in computing the kindergarten class load.
Kindergarten. The Kindergarten unit member shall be available for assistance or assignment in the instructional program of the primary grades when not involved in the Kindergarten program. The principal of each school with a Kindergarten program shall meet with the Kindergarten unit member(s) and assign duties that would be beneficial to the educational program during the Kindergarten unit member’s remaining instructional time.
Kindergarten. The annual instructional schedule for kindergarten will not exceed 44,580 minutes of State approved instructional time.
Kindergarten. If the CSR Program is eliminated, the grade level of Kindergarten shall have an absolute maximum of thirty (30) students enrolled.
9.1.1 A Kindergarten classroom which exceeds an enrollment of thirty (30) students at the opening of school shall be adjusted to or below the maximum within ten (10) school days.
9.1.2 Beginning with the eleventh (11th) school day, a Kindergarten teacher whose class size is at maximum may opt to accept the thirty-first (31st) student. When the teacher exercises this option, the District shall provide, within ten (10) work days, a two (2) hour instructional assistant for the remainder of the school year, even if, subsequently, the class size falls below the maximum. In no event shall the class size of the teacher who exercises this option exceed thirty-two (32) students. Once a kindergarten student is enrolled in a class that is not over enrolled for a period of ten (10) days, he/she shall not be moved to another school. In cases of over enrollment, the newest enrollee shall be transferred first whenever possible.
9.1.2.1 If the teacher declines to accept the thirty-first (31st) student, the student shall be moved out of the class within five (5) working days.
9.1.3 Class size is to include all special education students even if present for a portion of the day.
9.1.4 No more than two (2) language delayed students will be mainstreamed into a regular class.
9.1.5 When Option 1 is implemented at a site, all Kindergartens will be Option 1 and the 2.5-hour per day classroom instructional assistant and the annual discretionary budget of $17.00 per ADA as provided in the Memorandum of Understanding will cease. Under Option 1, there will be a ninety (90) minute teacher-directed instruction overlap time. Should Option 2 be reinstated, each Kindergarten teacher will be provided one (1) 2.5-hour per day classroom instructional assistant and a discretionary budget of $17.00 per ADA.
Kindergarten. Xxxxxx School offers an all-day program and a morning program. The half day students are in the same class as the all-day students, and are dismissed at 11:30am. Parents are best equipped to decide which program is right for their child. Before choosing either program, be assured that the curriculum and skills presented are the same in both sessions. Our goal is to prepare children for first grade.
Kindergarten. 1253 An average of 240 minutes of instruction daily, inclusive of 1254 20 minutes of recess, and a minimum of an annual total of 1255 360 additional minutes of contingencies. The students’ 1256 instructional day shall be no less than 180 minutes.
Kindergarten. 1. To facilitate the entry of Kindergarten students, there shall be one-half (1/2) day release time for four (4) to seven (7) students, plus one-half (1/2) day for each additional four (4) students or portion thereof. This time is to be used for parent-teacher-child interviews and preparation.
2. Teachers of the Kindergarten program shall be entitled to implement a gradual entry program during the first two weeks.
Kindergarten. Kindergarten runs shall be paid at the same rate as one regular bus run.
Kindergarten. The youngest age at which a child may enter kindergarten shall be one (1) year younger than the age required for that child to enter first grade. A child must be five (5) years old on or before September 30 of the calendar year in which the school year begins. Upon enrollment in kindergarten all attendance rules apply.
Kindergarten. Twenty-four (24) or fewer students assigned to each session of the classroom teacher. (overload compensation is based on full-day Kindergarten and shall be pro-rated for a single session overload).
