LAY-OFFS 10.01 The Employer agrees to notify the Union office of the names of employees laid off within the pay period of the date during which the layoff occurred, together with the employee's classification and latest available phone number.
Lay-Off An employee who has one (1) year or more of continuous employment and who is laid off is entitled to be paid severance pay at the time of lay-off.
Lay-off Notice In cases of lay-off, the Company will give as much notice as possible.
LAY-OFF AND RECALL In the event of a proposed layoff of a permanent or long-term nature, the Home will provide the Union with at least six (6) weeks’ notice. This notice is not in addition to required notice for individual employees. In the event of a layoff of a permanent or long-term nature, the Home will provide affected employees with notice in accordance with the Employment Standards Act. However, the Employment Standards will be deemed to be amended to provide notice to the affected employee as follows: • if her service is greater than 9 years - 9 weeks’ notice • if her service is greater than 10 years - 10 weeks’ notice • if her service is greater than 11 years - 11 weeks’ notice • if her service is greater than 12 years - 12 weeks’ notice
Lay-off Procedure (a) In the event of lay-off, the Employer shall first lay-off Employees in the reverse order of their seniority within their classification, provided that there remain on the job Employees who have the skills to perform the work.
