Leave to Attend Union Conventions. The Employer shall grant Leave of Absence with pay to union delegates to the following: Canadian Labour Congress; Canadian Union of Public Employees; Ontario Division of C.U.P.E.; Ontario Federation of Labour. The Union will attempt to notify the Division Manager of each delegate at least twenty (20) days prior to the date that delegates will be leaving to attend the Convention. A copy of this notification will be provided by the Union to Human Resources.
Leave to Attend Union Conventions. The Company agrees to grant a leave of absence without pay to not more than two (2) employees who have been elected or appointed by the Union to attend a Union Convention, Seminar or Conferences, for a period or periods not exceeding in the aggregate five (5) working days for any one (1) employee in any one (1) calendar year provided this shall not interfere with the efficient operation of the Company and further provided that the Company is requested in writing for such leave of absence at least two
Leave to Attend Union Conventions. Full or part-time employees will be granted annual leave or leave without pay at the election of the employee to attend National, State and Regional Union Meetings provided that a request for leave has been submitted by the employee to the installation head as soon as practicable and provided that approval of such leave does not seriously adversely affect the service needs of the installation.

An employee who has been elected to attend Union Conventions or Conferences shall be granted a leave of absence, without pay, for this purpose, providing such leave does not unduly interfere with operations. The Union will inform the Company of the names of the delegates.

An employee who is a member of a union representing State employees and who has been selected as delegate, or alternate delegate to attend union conventions shall be allowed a leave of absence without pay, subject to the approval of the head of the agency in which employed, to attend said convention.

An Employee who has been elected or appointed by the Union to attend Union endorsed Educational Programs, Union conventions or conference shall be granted a leave of absence without pay for this purpose. The Union will inform the Company, in writing, of the names of the delegates, also names of alternate delegates in the event it is impossible at the time to grant such request for any particular delegates. Employees elected to be on a leave of absence for Union business or to attend convention or conferences will have their regular pay and Pension contributions continued and the Company will then xxxx the Local for the money paid to the Employee while on such Union business. The Company shall grant leave of absence without pay for one (1) Employee to work in an official capacity for the Local or the International Union subject to the following conditions:

Not more than six (6) employees from any one plant may take such leave at one time and they must give the Local Management a week's written notice. This notice must be confirmed by the Local Union. The leave will not exceed two weeks plus reasonable travel time.

An employee who has been elected or appointed by the Union to attend national or provincial Union conventions may get a leave of absence without pay for this purpose. Not more than six (6)employees from any one plant may take such leave at one time and they must give the Local Management a week’s written notice. This notice must be confirmed by the Local Union. Leave for Union Business Local Management will grant an employee a leave of absence of not more than four (4) years to work in an official capacity for the Local Union, the International Union, or a federated union body, or to work for a civic agency as a representative of labour. The provisions of Article of the Canadian Master Agreement shall apply to a leave of absence in excess of two (2)years. The employee must request the leave in writing and the Union must approve it. This leave will not be extended beyond the four (4) year period mentioned above, nor will a new leave for Union business be granted to the employee if he returns to work for the Company. Not more than two (2) employees from any plant may be on leave under Section at any one time.
Leave to Attend Union Conventions. Subject to the Employer's work requirements, the Club shall grant leave of absence without pay to employees who are elected as delegates to attend Union conventions or as members of a negotiating committee, to the maximum of fifteen (15) working days, providing that the Club is given advance notice.
Leave to Attend Union Conventions. Leave of absence without pay shall be granted to at least one (1) employee to attend Union Business which shall be de- fined as audit of local Union books, election of local and international officers, conventions and seminars for a period not to exceed twenty (20) days per year, provided that more than one (1) such absence does not impact upon the efficient operation of the Company.
