Negotiation Schedule. Negotiations on the subjects specified above may commence between the sixtieth (60th) and ninetieth (90th) day prior to expiration of the Agreement. Either Party may serve Notice on the other that it wishes to commence Negotiations for an amended Agreement. A copy of the Notice shall be sent to the State Employment Relations Board, unless the Parties agree in writing to an extension of time.

Negotiation Schedule. A written request to open negotiations shall be served on either party not less than sixty (60) calendar days prior to the expiration date of this contract. Within ten (10) working days of the receipt of the request, both parties shall establish a mutually agreeable site, date and time for the first meeting.

WAGE RATES‌ Effective on the first day of the pay period that includes February 1, 2019, the Journeyman Painter base wage shall increase by 2.0%. Painter associates shall receive a minimum of 80% of the journeymen painter wages in their second year of employment, a minimum of 90% of the journeymen painter wages in their third year of employment and shall receive 100% of journeymen painter wages in their fourth year of employment. At The University of Montana-Missoula, the employer shall not be permitted to employ more than one (1) associate painter for each three (3) journeymen painters unless qualified journeymen painters are not available. For the contract term ending June 30, 2019, if the Employer negotiates greater across-the- board pay raises with any other hourly staff bargaining unit in the Montana University System, the parties agree to re-open the wage provisions of the contract for negotiations.
