Meals and Breaks. Whenever possible Dispatchers will be relieved for a lunch break, not to exceed one-half hour, at or near the halfway point through the shift when feasible. If during the break, a situation arises that it is necessary for the dispatcher to return to dispatching duties, they will do so without delay and they shall be paid an additional amount of wages equal to the straight time wage rate for the period of the lunch break lost, up to one half hour. The Employer will make every reasonable effort to provide each Dispatcher with two (2) ten minute breaks during each eight (8) hour shift in addition to the lunch break.

All employees shall have unpaid one (1) meal period at the approximate midpoint of each work shift of five (5) hours or more and two (2) paid rest periods of fifteen (15) minutes each, one (1) in each half of a full-time shift. An employee who normally receives a one half (½) hour meal period may request a one (1) hour meal period or vice versa. Employees may not forego a meal period to curtail the length of their working day.

If an employee working a twelve (12) hour shift works over or reports early for four (4) adqitional hours, the employee shall normally be entitled to an additional forty-five (45) minute meal period during the additional four (4) hours.
Meals and Breaks. (a) An employee working a shift of eight or more hours shall be entitled to an unpaid meal break of 30 minutes. If the employee is interrupted during the meal break, he/she will be paid for the entire break. The employee is required to provide his or her manager with a Kronos adjustment form detailing the date of and reason for missed break. Missed meal breaks are paid at the then-prevailing wage rate, whether straight time or overtime.
Meals and Breaks. (a) Employees shall provide and carry their own mid-shift meal. Local work groups (employees including leaders) will determine the feasibility of allowing job classifications to eliminate or take a minimum one-half hour unpaid lunch period. Employees will follow the same lunch period practice as the job classification to which they are assigned. Crews away from headquarters during the lunch period have the option of straight shifts or a minimum one-half hour unpaid lunch period by consensus. Non consensus results in default to previously established noon policy.
