New Positions or Vacancies. All new positions or vacancies inside the bargaining unit shall be electronically posted so that all members will have the opportunity to apply.

New Positions or Vacancies. Section A. New Hires, Promotions, or Transfers‌ Every new hire, promotion, or transfer decision shall be based upon the needs of the College, and the qualifications, abilities, and past performance of the applicant. Only Employees covered by this Agreement shall be eligible to apply as internal applicants for new positions or vacancies within the bargaining unit. If two or more Employees are deemed to be equally qualified as determined by the Administration, then seniority shall be the deciding factor in awarding the job. Upon receipt of an approved Employment Requisition for a new position or vacancy, the Human Resources Director or her/his designee will notify Employees of the position vacancy through e-mail. Five working days shall be given between the time the vacancy is posted and the closing date. Employee job descriptions will list the job title, department, and paygrade. Qualified internal applicants will be considered for the position before the position is advertised outside the College. If, in the judgment of the responsible administrator and the President or his/her designee, an internal applicant meets the requirements for the position, an internal applicant will be hired for that position. If in the judgment of the responsible administrator and the President or his/her designee, no internal applicant(s) meet(s) the requirements for the position, the position will be advertised outside the College. Unsuccessful applicants shall be notified upon completion of the selection process. Upon request, the unsuccessful applicant shall also be entitled to a written statement of the reason(s) why they were not selected for the position. Employees may apply for position vacancies by following the application procedures as shown in the position vacancy announcement.

  • VACANCIES AND NEW POSITIONS 17.01 The Gallery shall post notice of permanent and temporary job vacancies subject to Article 4 – Temporary Full-Time Employees for a period of seven (7) calendar days before any such job is filled. Probationary employees shall not be entitled to apply for posted vacancies. It is agreed that the Gallery will not interview external applicants until applications from existing employees have been reviewed and bargaining unit employees who are qualified in the opinion of the Gallery have been interviewed. Further, the Gallery will notify existing applicants in writing once the successful application is selected.

  • Application for Vacancies All employees under this Agreement, including those on layoff status, may submit application in writing for any vacancy which is posted pursuant to this Article.

  • Vacancies Whenever a vacancy in the Board of Trustees shall occur, the remaining Trustees may fill such vacancy by appointing an individual having the qualifications described in this Article by a written instrument signed by a majority of the Trustees then in office or may leave such vacancy unfilled or may reduce the number of Trustees; provided the aggregate number of Trustees after such reduction shall not be less than the minimum number required by Section 2.1 hereof; provided, further, that if the Shareholders of any class or series of Shares are entitled separately to elect one or more Trustees, a majority of the remaining Trustees or the sole remaining Trustee elected by that class or series may fill any vacancy among the number of Trustees elected by that class or series. No vacancy shall operate to annul this Declaration or to revoke any existing agency created pursuant to the terms of this Declaration. Whenever a vacancy in the number of Trustees shall occur, until such vacancy is filled as provided herein, the Trustees in office, regardless of their number, shall have all the powers granted to the Trustees and shall discharge all the duties imposed upon the Trustees by this Declaration.

  • Position Vacancies When a new position is created or a vacancy occurs in any existing position, the Employer shall forthwith prepare and furnish the Federation and post in places as agreed upon by the Employer and the Federation, a bulletin stating among other things: Location and title of position to be filled; a listing of the principal duties of the position; minimum qualifications; assigned hours of service; assigned days of rest; salary range of the position; whether the position is permanent or temporary; if temporary, how long it is probable the position will continue; the starting date of the assignment; last date when applications will be received and accepted; and with whom the applications shall be filed.

  • Transfers and Vacancies In the event an employee does not bid, but is selected to be transferred, he may accept or reject the transfer. If he accepts, his seniority is treated in the same manner as though he had bid. If he rejects the transfer, he shall not be restricted from future bids under similar conditions. In the event that an employee is moved to another Department by reason of a departmental merger or consolidation of work, this shall not be considered a transfer, and the seniority rights of the individual involved shall then be determined by negotiation between the Company and the Local Union.
