Occupational Health and Safety Courses. (a) The Occupational Health and Safety Committee, in consultation with the Workers' Compensation Board, shall develop training programs for Occupational Health and Safety Committee members dealing with the objectives and duties of Occupational Health and Safety Committees.
(b) This Committee shall monitor and assess the results of such ongoing training programs.
Occupational Health and Safety Courses. There shall be established a joint committee composed of two representatives of the Employer and two representatives of the Union. The Committee, in consultation with the Workers' Compensation Board, shall develop a training program for Occupational Health and Safety Committee members dealing with the objectives and duties of Occupational Health and Safety Committees.

(a) The Employer will, in consultation with the Union and in cooperation with the agencies specified in 22.1(a), arrange for the members of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee to be trained in these agencies’ functions, duties and objectives, as part of the normal operation of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee. A program will be set up for training committee members, and shall be open to participation by other approved institutions.
(b) The Committee shall identify such safety courses as it deems necessary for Employees of the Institute.

(b) Those employees who by the nature of their employment are required to work in remote isolated areas shall be given the opportunity to take a Survival First Aid Course at the Employer's expense. Any disputes arising from the application or interpretation of this article shall be referred to the Committee for resolution.

A program will be set up for training committee members, and shall be open to participation by other approved institutions.
(b) The Committee shall identify such safety courses as it deems necessary for Employees of the Institute.
(c) Worker representatives on Occupational Health and Safety Committees shall be entitled to annual education leave without loss of pay or benefits for the purpose of attending occupational health and safety training courses, as described in the Workers Compensation Act. New Committee members shall also receive the instruction and training required by the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation.
Occupational Health and Safety Courses.
(a) The OHS Committee, in consultation with the WorkSafeBC, shall develop and deliver training programs for OHS Committee members dealing with the objectives and duties of Occupational Health and Safety Committees.
(b) This Committee shall monitor and assess the results of such ongoing training programs.
(c) A worker representative will be entitled to one day of employer paid leave per year to attend occupational health and safety training courses. If OHS training falls on the worker representative’s regular time off, the worker representative will be compensated for all hours while attending the training.
(d) Where a worker representative is appointed to serve on the OHS Committee for the first time, the Employer will provide that representative with one day of paid education leave, in addition to their annual training per Clause 22.6(c) during the first six months in which they serve on the OHS Committee for the purposes of attending Committee Orientation training courses.

Occupational Health and Safety Courses. (a) The parties have a joint responsibility to provide training to Occupational Health and Safety Committee Members. Programs shall be jointly developed by the Union and the Employer.
(b) The Employer shall contribute $5000 per year to be used to provide training to the Occupational Health and Safety Committee members.
(c) Leave with regular pay and expenses to attend these Occupational Health and Safety courses shall be borne by the Employer.

The Joint Committee, in consultation with the WorkersÕ Compensation Board, shall develop a training program for the Safety Committee Members dealing with the objectives and duties of Occupational Health and Safety Committees.
