Ordinary Work Hours. Ordinary working hours for permanent full time employees shall be arranged as Brown Brothers determines and shall be: (a) an average of 38 hours per week; (b) no more than 12 hours and no less than 6 hours on any one day; (c) where possible, rostered within Base Hours (Refer Part B, Section 13.3), dependant on requirements of individual areas due to seasonal variations and market demands. (d) 38 hours per week will be: - averaged over a nineteen day four week period for Clerical employees, providing an accrued day off (ADO) every 4 weeks. - averaged over a nine-day fortnight for all other employees, providing an accrued day off (ADO) each 2 weeks. The only exception will be at vintage when the Company shall determine that the 38 hours be worked over a 19 day 4 week period until vintage is complete. (e) appropriate rest periods are provided (refer Section 14.7).

Ordinary Work Hours. 16.1 The ordinary weekly hours of a full time employee shall be an average of 37.5 hours per week plus reasonable additional hours. (i) Ordinary hours of work will be averaged over a 12 month period. (ii) Unless otherwise agreed as part of the flexible arrangement of work patterns, ordinary hours are worked between 6:00 am and 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday and for no more than ten hours in any single day. (iii) Employees in positions classified above Grade 4 are expected to work such hours as are reasonably necessary to get the job done without additional claim. Actual hours worked may be flexible according to the demands of the particular job. 16.2 With the approval of their manager an employee can adopt a different pattern of ordinary hours and/or the days on which they are worked. This can include the substitution of hours on a Saturday, Sunday and/or public holiday for hours on any other days of the week as part of the ordinary hours without additional claim. An employee should have at least eight days off in any four-week cycle. 16.3 An employee’s actual daily starting and finishing times may be varied to suit individual circumstances subject to the approval of the employee’s supervisor having regard to operational requirements. 16.4 An employee working under a flexible hours arrangement will take meal breaks at such time as is appropriate to meet daily work requirements and their adopted pattern of work.

  • Work Hours Except in emergencies, the standard work week of full-time unit employees shall normally consist of five (5) days of eight (8) hours each, exclusive of lunch hour. Each employee shall be assigned regular starting and ending times, which shall not be changed without prior notice. Should an employee be required to work during his/her lunch hour, the length of such interruption shall be counted as time worked unless other arrangements are made with his/her supervisor.

  • Ordinary Hours (a) The ordinary hours of work of full-time Employees shall be 36 hours per week and may be worked in accordance with this clause. (b) The ordinary hours of part-time and casual Employees will be in accordance with clauses 5.3 and 5.4.

  • Normal Working Hours Prevailing Wage Rate Projects: Work performed from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00

  • Normal Work Day The normal work day shall be eight (8) hours and the normal work week shall be forty (40) hours, Monday through Friday, provided however that nothing herein shall be construed as guaranteeing any EMPLOYEE eight (8) hours of work per day or forty (40) hours per week. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours of work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this Article). The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. (b) (applicable to part-time employees only) The normal or standard work day shall be seven and one-half (7½) hours per day and the normal or standard full- time work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one- half (37½) hours per week except in those hospitals where agreements already provide a normal or standard work day of less than seven and one-half hours and a normal or standard full-time work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this article.) Part-time employees shall be entitled to overtime pay at the rate of time and one-half their regular straight time hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of the normal or standard work day or in excess of the normal or standard full-time work week. The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. (c) Where the Hospital and the Union agree, subject to the approval of the Ministry of Labour, other arrangements regarding hours of work may be entered into between parties on a local level with respect to tours beyond the normal or standard work day in accordance with the provisions set out in Article 25.01 of the collective agreement.

  • Standard Work Week The standard work week for full-time employees covered by this Agreement shall be forty (40) hours, exclusive of the time allotted for meal periods, consisting of five (5) consecutive work days followed by two (2) consecutive days off. The week shall commence with the shift that includes 12:01 A.M. Sunday of each calendar week and end at the start of the shift that includes 12:00 midnight the following Saturday. The Employer retains the right to modify the work schedules to meet operational needs.
