Parent Conference. No action, except as necessary, in the judgment of the Administrator, to protect the welfare of students, is to be taken pursuant to such a complaint until the teacher has been informed and has had an opportunity to respond. If the teacher who has been complained of shall so request, within five (5) working days of notification of the complaint, a conference will be held between the appropriate Administrator and the teacher. At the request of either the teacher or administrator in charge, the appropriate Administrator will request the complainant to be present at the conference. The teacher and appropriate Administrator may include such other persons in the conference as they deem helpful to resolution of the alleged problem which gave rise to the complaint.
Parent Conference. Unit members with school age children may attend, 24 during their regular work day, parent conferences and/or regularly scheduled school 25 activities such as awards assemblies, I.E.P. meetings, academic decathlons, 26 graduations, and academic field trips in accordance with the provisions of AB 2590, 27 effective September 1, 1994, not to exceed eight (8) hours a month and forty (40) 28 hours a year. 29 For the purposes of this Article, “regularly scheduled school activities” shall not 30 include recreational field trips such as camping and theme park trips; or extra- 31 curricular activities such as sporting events, tournaments, post-secondary or 32 university activities, proms and school dances, pep rallies, parades, school parties, 33 or carnivals.
Parent Conference. Unit members with school age children may attend, during 21 their regular work day, parent conferences and/or regularly scheduled school activities 22 such as awards assemblies, I.E.P. meetings, academic decathlons, graduations, and 23 academic field trips in accordance with the provisions of AB 2590, effective September 24 1, 1994, not to exceed eight (8) hours a month and forty (40) hours a year. 25 For the purposes of this Article, “regularly scheduled school activities” shall not include 27 activities such as sporting events, tournaments, post-secondary or university 28 activities, proms and school dances, pep rallies, parades, school parties, or carnivals.
Parent Conference. As soon as possible the unit member shall call the parent/guardian of the suspended pupil and inform him/her of the suspension and reasons, and arrange a parent-teacher conference regarding the suspension.
Parent Conference. Notwithstanding any other section of this Agreement, there shall be twice annual parent conferences, the schedule for which is not required to conform with the normal workday schedule. The schedule shall be followed as stated herein: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. shall be designated as an Institute Day, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 Employee Evaluation
Parent Conference. A class or classes may be closed pending a parent conference. The conference, with the parent, student, teacher, and an administrator present, may be held in lieu of a suspension only if the following criteria are met:
A. The student's record shows regular patterns of truancy and/or tardiness, persistent disobedience, or gross misdemeanor.
B. The principal or designee must ascertain that the above misbehavior can best be dealt with through a conference including the student, his/her parent or legal guardian, or other adult designated with authority over the student, and whatever staff would seem appropriate. The conference should be as soon as can be mutually arranged with the parent or legal guardian or other adult designated with authority over the student. Upon completion of that conference, the student will be reinstated to the class or classes which have been closed unless otherwise mutually agreed. In no instance shall a student's class or classes be closed for more than three days.
Parent Conference. No parent conference shall be scheduled during a teaching period unless there is twenty-four (24) hours prior notice to the employee and a substitute is provided to cover the teaching period.
Parent Conference. Notwithstanding any other section of this Agreement, there shall be twice annual parent conferences, the schedule for which is not required to conform with the normal workday schedule, the length of which shall conform to the Guidelines established by the Regional Superintendent of Schools. Employees shall confer with parents from 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. On the day immediately following, employees shall confer with parents from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at which time employees are dismissed. Parents may choose to confer in person during the scheduled conference time or may make arrangements with the teacher to confer by video conference during the scheduled conference time. Principals will make a reasonable attempt to allow employees who are parents or legal guardians of students within the district to attend their students’ conference(s) by video conference.
Parent Conference. The Board and the Association recognize the importance and value of good communications between parent/ teacher/child that can be achieved through parent-teacher conferences. Parent-teacher conferences shall be held whenever the parent, teacher, and/or the administrator feel that a conference is necessary. Such conferences shall be held at a reasonable hour and are a part of the teacher‟s professional obligations.
Parent Conference. The Board shall designate a number of days, or fraction thereof, for parent conferences, equal to the number of days, or fraction thereof, necessary to meet the requirements of the Board and the needs of the SEDOL program, but in no event shall this be less than two (2) days in total. The Board shall not increase the required number of parent conferences without also increasing the number of designated days or fraction thereof. Nothing contained herein shall limit the right of the teacher to provide for additional parent conferences, outside the course of a normal school day, when necessitated by changes in a student's Individual Education or as the need arises, and such conferences necessitated by changes in an Individual Educational Plan shall not be construed as "required" parent conferences hereunder.
