Part-Time Education Assistants. Part-time Education Assistants whose assignment is at least twenty (20) hours per week shall be eligible for group hospitalization/major medical, dental and life insurance. The fractional part of the full amount described in 10-1 shall be the Education Assistant’s full-time equivalent multiplied by the amount of the benefit. Employees whose assignment is at least twenty-five (25) hours shall be eligible for long term disability.

Part-Time Education Assistants. For any Education Assistant working an average of 20 hours or more, but fewer than 32.5 hours per week, the School Board will pay one‐half of what it pays for full time Education Assistants toward the annual premium for insurance and one‐half what it pays to a full time employee’s VEBA account. Any additional premium shall be borne by the employee and paid by payroll deduction.

  • TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM POLICY The Tuition Assistance Program supports Queen's commitment to the development of employee skills and abilities. Departments are asked to endorse employees who wish to enrol in academic courses or attend training courses that will enhance their personal growth or ability to perform their duties. The Tuition Assistance Program is divided into 2 components - the Educational Development Fund which pays tuition fees for Queen's credit courses, and the Professional Development Fund which reimburses tuition fees (to a maximum of $400 per year) for work-related courses at other recognized educational institutions.   • Educational Assistants Teachers are responsible to assign instructional duties to Educational Assistants who are allocated to students in their classroom by the Principal.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Transition Assistance If this Contract is not renewed at the end of this term, if the Contract is otherwise terminated before project completion, or if particular work on a project is terminated for any reason, Contractor shall provide transition assistance for a reasonable, mutually agreed period of time after the expiration or termination of this Contract or particular work under this Contract. The purpose of this assistance is to allow for the expired or terminated portion of the services to continue without interruption or adverse effect, and to facilitate the orderly transfer of such services to State or its designees. The parties agree that such transition assistance is governed by the terms and conditions of this Contract, except for those terms or conditions that do not reasonably apply to such transition assistance. State shall pay Contractor for any resources utilized in performing such transition assistance at the most current Contract rates. If State terminates a project or this Contract for cause, then State may offset the cost of paying Contractor for the additional resources Contractor utilized in providing transition assistance with any damages State may have sustained as a result of Contractor’s breach.
