PART TIME EMPLOYEES PENSION. The Employer shall provide pension benefit coverage to part time employees under the terms and conditions as may be contained in the UPS Pension Plan as required by law. The Company and the Union agree that they will undertake to attempt to establish appropriate reciprocity agreements to protect the pension rights of employees. Effective August 1, 1987, the Company and the Union agree that employees represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and covered by the UPS Pension Plan will receive the following improvements to the Plan:

PART TIME EMPLOYEES PENSION. The Employer shall provide Pension Benefit Coverage to part time employees under the terms and conditions as may be contained in the UPS Pension Plan as required by law, and as described in Article 34, paragraph (i) of the National Master Agreement. Disputes or questions of interpretation concerning the requirement to make contributions on behalf of particular employees or classifications of employees must be submitted directly to the Conference Joint Area Committee by either the Local Union or the Trustees. In the event of such disputes or questions, the company shall not be deemed to be delinquent, while the matter is being considered, but if the Conference Joint Area Committee, by majority vote, determines that contributions are required, the Company shall pay to the Trust Fund the amounts due together with any other charges uniformly applicable to past due contributions. The Conference Joint Area Committee may also determine whether the Company's claim was bona fide. In the event that the Conference Joint Area Committee is deadlocked, the matter shall be resolved by the National Grievance Committee.

PART TIME EMPLOYEES PENSION. Employees currently employed will be eligible for membership in the Employer’s defined contribution pension plan provided they have passed their probationary period. The Employer shall match the part-time employee’s annual contribution of two percent (2%) of the employee’s non-overtime earnings. Part-time employees on an approved leave may contribute back into their pension plan within the current month. The amount will be based on the employee’s maximum contribution of two percent (2%) their regular earnings for the time lost. This amount will be matched by the Employer. This will ensure the pension plan remains legislatively compliant with the Canada Taxation Agency. Effective October 1, 2017:

  • Part-Time Employee Part-time employee" means an employee who is normally scheduled to work fewer than 80 hours in a biweekly payroll period.

Regular part-time employees shall receive the same perquisites, on a proportionate basis, as granted regular full-time employees.

  • Part-time Employees Eligible for Holidays 331. Part-time employees who regularly work a minimum of twenty (20) hours in a bi- weekly pay period shall be entitled to holiday pay on a proportionate basis. 332. Regular full-time employees are entitled to 8/80 or 1/10 time off when a holiday falls in a bi-weekly pay period, therefore, part-time employees, as defined in the immediately preceding paragraph, shall receive a holiday based upon the ratio of 1/10 of the total hours regularly worked in a bi-weekly pay period. Holiday time off shall be determined by calculating 1/10 of the hours worked by the part-time employee in the bi-weekly pay period immediately preceding the pay period in which the holiday falls. The computation of holiday time off shall be rounded to the nearest hour.

  • Disabled Employees If an employee becomes disabled with the result that he is unable to carry out the regular functions of his position, the Hospital may establish a special classification and salary with the hope of providing an opportunity of continued employment.

  • PART-TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS Regular part time employees shall be provided the opportunity to purchase benefits of one of the plans described in Article XVII, Sections B and C at the Employer plan’s premium cost. The Employer will pay the Employer’s monthly share of the premium cost at a ratio proportionate to the employee’s part time condition of employment contingent upon receipt of the employee’s yearly share of the employee’s premium.

  • Part-Time Regular Employees District shall maintain, in participation with (tenured) part-time regular faculty, all insurance fringe benefits coverage on the basis applicable to full-time participation in regard to premium payments.
