Partial Unpaid Leave. 39 A partial unpaid leave of absence is one where the employee works some scheduled 40 work days during a prescribed period and schedules other days or parts of days as 41 unpaid extended leave days.

Partial Unpaid Leave. Applies to a bargaining unit member who chooses to reduce his/her position in accordance with requirements of this section.
Partial Unpaid Leave. The University may grant a Partial Unpaid Leave to a tenured Bargaining Unit Faculty Member for personal or professional reasons. The University is under no obligation to offer a Partial Unpaid Leave to Member, however, and no Bargaining Unit Faculty Member is obligated to accept such a leave if offered.

  • Other Unpaid Leaves 1. The Board will grant an unpaid leave for a period of up to one (1) year to a teacher for illness or disability, eldercare, extended or family illness. The teacher may request that his/her teaching position be reduced to a part-time position with the School Corporation during this leave. Upon the teacher’s return from said leave, the School Corporation will follow the guidelines set forth under A.5. above.

  • Unpaid Leave 6. Accrued compensatory time off may be used at the employee’s discretion, with management approval, after exhaustion of 100% sick leave (No. 3 above). However, FLSA compensatory time off shall not be counted against the employee’s four (4) month (nine [9] pay period [720 hours]) family or medical leave entitlement. Therefore, any use of FLSA compensatory time off under this Section shall extend the employee’s family or medical leave by the total amount of FLSA compensatory time off used.

  • Unpaid Leaves Employees on unpaid leaves may not participate in the matching program while on leave.

  • Unpaid Sick Leave The City Manager shall, upon the advice and recommendation of the City physician, grant unpaid sick leave for up to one (1) year upon application of any employee whose paid sick leave is exhausted. Any extension of such leave shall be subject to the Civil Service Board rules.

  • Unpaid Leave of Absence If an employee is on an unpaid leave of absence, then vacation leave, compensatory time, or sick leave cannot be used for the purpose of maintaining eligibility for an Employer Contribution by keeping the employee on a State payroll for one (1) working day per pay period.

  • Paid Leave (a) An employee who is a volunteer member of the Defence Force Reserves or the Cadet Force is entitled to paid leave of absence for Defence service, subject to the conditions set out hereunder.
