Preference in Vacations. Vacations shall be granted first on the basis of seniority.
Preference in Vacations. Preference for vacation periods shall be given to employees in accordance with the employee's seniority.
Preference in Vacations. Vacation schedules shall be determined by the Employer after consultation with the Employees and shall be offered to Employees on the basis of seniority.
Preference in Vacations. (a) When dates conflict and where two (2) or more employees cannot be allowed to take their vacation at the same time, then seniority shall prevail.
(b) Once dates for vacations have been posted, on or before April 30th, these dates shall not be changed except by mutual agreement of the Employer or his designate, and the employee.
Preference in Vacations. If vacations are requested during the months of July and August, they shall be granted first on the basis of seniority among those Employees having children who attended school during the preceding spring; and secondly, on the basis of seniority among those who did not have children attending school in the preceding spring.
Preference in Vacations. The months of July and August shall be the recognized vacation period and wherever possible vacations shall be granted employees during these months. However, by mutual agreement, vacations may be arranged in any other months of the calendar year. In the event of conflict between employees' preferences, the choice shall be determined by seniority.
Preference in Vacations. An employee shall be granted vacation period(s) in accordance with Appendix “E”, Preference in Vacation Scheduling.
Preference in Vacations. The months of July and August will be the recognized normal vacation period, and where possible, vacations will be scheduled during those months. The needs of the employer may require that maintenance staff work July and August; however, vacations for maintenance employees may be arranged in any month of the year by mutual consent of the employee and the Employer. Employees who have more than four (4) weeks annual vacation entitlement, may elect to take that portion of their vacation in excess of four (4) weeks at a time other than July and August. By mutual agreement, vacations may be arranged in any month of the year. In the event of conflict of vacation date preference, the choice shall be determined by seniority of service.
Preference in Vacations. All employees shall be granted, during the month of July and August, their vacation and as far as possible the period preferred by the employee. By mutual agreement, vacation time may be arranged in any other month of the calendar year. However, in the event of a conflict in vacation date preference, the choice then shall be determined by seniority of service.
Preference in Vacations. Every effort will be made, subject to the requirements of the operation, to allow employees to take earned vacation at a time of their choice. Seniority shall be the deciding factor for employees wishing to take earned vacation providing the leave form is submitted before March 1st of each year for vacation leave between the following May 1st and October 31st, and providing the leave form is submitted before September 1st for vacation leave between the following November 1st and April 30th. In applying seniority as the deciding factor for timely requests, the following principles will be in effect:
(a) If a conflict arises in relation to requests for the same blocks of time, seniority will be determinative;
(b) If a conflict arises in relation to requests for single days or less than five (5), or four (4) days, as the case may be, and a block overlapping the same time, seniority will be determinative only to a maximum of five (5) days in total per year after which seniority will not be the determining factor.
