Preparation for Shipment. All materials shall be suitably packaged, sea-worthy where required, to facilitate handling and protect against damage during transit and storage. All equipment and material shall be boxed, crated, or otherwise completely enclosed and/or protected during shipment, handling, and storage. All equipment shall be protected from exposure to the detrimental elements and shall be kept thoroughly dry at all times. Painted surfaces shall be protected against impact, abrasion, discoloration, and other damage. All painted surfaces, which are damaged prior to acceptance of equipment, shall be repainted to the satisfaction of Engineer. Each item shall be tagged or marked as identified in the delivery schedule and/or on the shop drawings. Complete packing lists and bills of material shall be included with each shipment.

Preparation for Shipment. All equipment parts shall be dry, thoroughly cleaned inside and outside and free of all dirt and loose foreign materials. All flange faces and other machined surfaces shall be coated with a readily removable rust preventative coating and protected against damage during shipment all in accordance with Seller's standard practices. Threaded openings shall be protected with solid steel plugs.
Preparation for Shipment. 24.1 Contractor shall submit procedures for the cleaning, preservation, packing, handling, lifting, shipping and storage of the material and equipment under this order. 24.2 Contractor shall ensure all equipment is adequately packed, crated, boxed skidded or otherwise protected and prepared for shipment in such a manner as to prevent loss and damage during handling, transportation and storage.

Package parts for protection against damage from the elements during shipping, handling, and storage. Ship in boxes or containers marked to indicate the contents and as stated above. Deliver spare parts and special tools before the associated equipment is scheduled for the initial test run. D. Where specified for specific product, factory test results shall be reviewed and accepted before such product is shipped.
Preparation for Shipment. Seller shall ensure all equipment and materials are: (1) completely assembled (to the maximum extent possible); (2) completely finished and painted; and (3) provided with all the required nameplates, markings, instrumentation, wiring, controls, etc. Further, Seller shall ensure all equipment and materials are suitably coated, wrapped and covered as well as boxed or crated for shipment to prevent damage from the rigors of multiple shipments, loading, unloading and storage. Upon receipt at the Project Site, for a period of time, all equipment and materials may be subject to inclement weather conditions (e.g., water spray, mist, snow, freezing temperatures, etc.). Seller shall take necessary care in providing the proper packing and preservation methods to enable the equipment and materials to resist the rigors of the selected modes of transportation and recommended storage. Seller shall give Contractor, at least, thirty (30) days advance written notice of any equipment or materials that must be stored indoors or in a controlled climate and must ensure they are clearly marked and identified as such. Seller shall secure any rotating parts that may damage the equipment during shipment, and for equipment having antifriction or sleeve bearings, Seller shall ensure such equipment is protected by weather tight enclosures. Further, Seller shall ensure all painted/coated surfaces are protected against impact, abrasion, discoloration and other damages. If there are any damaged painted surfaces, Seller shall carefully repair, clean and repaint, so the equipment looks new. For any surfaces that do not receive any coatings and are rusted, Seller shall clean and properly protect such surfaces. Seller shall ensure all electrical equipment (including switchgear, motor control centers and control panels) must be protected with high-quality waterproof material, vacuum packing and a proper amount and type of moisture absorbent material. Seller shall also ensure all mechanical equipment, susceptible to corrosion during shipment and storage on the Project Site, is protected from moisture accumulation and rusting with the use of moisture absorbent material provided within the vessel or packaging. Seller shall clearly indicate any equipment provided with moisture absorbent material and shall provide instructions for the removal and proper disposal of the material. Preparation for Shipment. The Design-Builder or Design-Builder's Suppliers shall prepare all articles and materials for shipment in such a manner as to protect them from damage in transit, and shall be responsible for and repair all damaged parts or replace all losses incurred in transit to the designated delivery point. When necessary, heavy parts shall be mounted on skids or crated, and all articles or materials that might otherwise be lost shall be boxed or wired in bundles. All articles shall be plainly marked for identification and destination. The Design-Builder shall prepare proper commercial bills of lading, three copies of which, together with a complete shipping list, shall be sent to the Engineer.

Preparation for Shipment. The Contractor shall assist the installation and shall ensure all containers are in compliance with all appropriate requirements including DOT regulations prior to shipment. The Contractor shall prepare waste for removal through DLA Disposition Services, or other waste disposal avenues as determined by the Government. The Contractor shall provide all necessary services required to process HW from this site in accordance to the terms and conditions of this contract. The Contractor shall prepare turn-in documentation for the final off-site transfer of waste through the DLA Disposition Services office. The Contractor shall deliver waste to DLA Disposition Services as necessary.  Housekeeping. The Contractor shall be responsible for proper house-keeping of the 90- day site. Housekeeping and cleanliness will be subject to inspection by the QA Personnel.  CAP Secondary Containment. The secondary containment at the CAP is located outside and does not contain any valves to facilitate draining. The Contractor shall remove water or snow following precipitation events and shall keep the secondary containment free of debris or other material that would reduce the capacity of the secondary containment to effectively contain spills. Any contaminated materials shall be handled and disposed of in accordance with rules and regulations.
Preparation for Shipment. All DBMs and Samples shall be handled, packaged, and shipped as required by applicable laws, rules, and regulations. They shall be suitably packed for shipment in containers adequate to insure safe arrival of the DBMs and Samples at Distributor’s designated delivery destination, marked for shipment to the address specified in Distributor’s acquisition order or such other address as Distributor may specify in writing.
