Professional Development Workshops. All school library assistants shall attend professional development workshops conducted by the BOARD for the purpose of upgrading their skills. Each school library assistant shall attend a minimum of one such workshop annually.

Professional Development Workshops. When approved in advance by the School District, bargaining unit employees shall be reimbursed for reasonable costs to attend Professional Development Workshops including mileage, meals and registration and other fees. Mileage shall be reimbursed at the current IRS rate.
Professional Development Workshops in Multisensory Structured Language Instruction (Xxxxx-Xxxxxxxxxx methodology) of the Client's School District in exchange for the payment of services rendered per employee. Class participants will go through the Provider’s application process. All class/seminar dates will be scheduled by district and Provider.
Professional Development Workshops. In order to xxxxxx a higher artistic quality through the continuing professional and artistic development of CHORISTERS, CHORISTERS and EMPLOYER shall collaborate to provide Professional Development Workshops.
A. EMPLOYER in collaboration with the AGMA Delegate, shall plan and schedule a minimum of one (1) Workshop per Season, tailored to the Productions scheduled for that Season.
B. EMPLOYER shall propose workshop content to the AGMA Delegate and AGMA Staff Representatives, and such content shall be mutually agreed upon between such parties.
C. All CHORISTERS shall be notified of and invited to all Workshops. Each CHORISTER shall respond to such notice and indicate whether they will attend the Workshop(s) no later than two weeks after EMPLOYER sends notice to the CHORISTERS.
D. Workshop attendance by CHORISTERS shall be voluntary, and EMPLOYER shall not be obligated to compensate CHORISTERS for such attendance.
E. If less than half of the CHORISTERS confirm attendance at the Workshop within two weeks of EMPLOYER providing notice of a Workshop, then EMPLOYER may cancel the Workshop in EMPLOYER’s sole discretion provided they give at least two (2) weeks notice. In such event, EMPLOYER will reschedule or hold a different Workshop in the Season if operationally viable as determined by EMPLOYER in EMPLOYER’s sole discretion.
F. EMPLOYER shall provide all necessary Workshop resources including, but not limited to: rehearsal facilities, choreographers, guest artists, sets, costumes, props, accompanists, and language coaches.
Professional Development Workshops. 1. A teacher will be paid from the following schedule for attendance at an administrative directed professional development session/workshop not held during the contract day.
2. Length of professional development activity. 0 – 2 hours $25.00 Plus 2 – 4 hours $50.00 Plus 4 – 6 hours $75.00 Plus 6 – 8 hours $100.00
1. A teacher shall be paid from the schedule below for presentation preparation based upon length of presentation held during contract and non-contract days. The presentation and/or preparation time must be preapproved by the building level administrator. 0-2 hours $50.00 Plus 2-4 hours $100.00 Plus 4-6 hours $150.00 Plus 6-8 hours $200.00 2. If two (2) or more teachers present together, then the following schedule shall be used and dollars split as determined by the teachers: 0-2 hours $ 75.00 Plus 2-4 hours $150.00 Plus 4-6 hours $225.00 Plus 6-8 hours $300.00
3. If an employee gives a repeat presentation of the same materials in the same school year, only one (1) presentation stipend will be paid for the school year.
4. If the professional development is outside the contracted days, the employee will also be paid for attendance at the following rate: 0 – 2 hours $25.00 Plus 2 – 4 hours $50.00 Plus 4 – 6 hours $75.00 Plus 6 – 8 hours $100.00 For example, if an employee prepares and presents a seven hour training during a non-contracted day, the teacher will be paid $400.00.

If a bargaining unit member is mandated to attend a workshop or event by the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee beyond the normal workday, he/she will be compensated at their regular hourly rate. In-service free training may be provided to both new and long term Unit B employees on teachers’ in-service days. All employees required to attend such training will be compensated at their regular hourly rate.

In an effort to increase student achievement and give a reasonable amount of time for teachers and counselors to attend workshops, the District may pay for and/or reimburse up to two (2) workshop days per employee in any one fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). These meetings must be approved by the Superintendent and deal with the teacher’s subject area or extracurricular position and/or have a correlation to the District’s School Improvement Plan. Approval or denial of a workshop must be given within five (5) working days of the request. If a workshop is denied, a reason must be given in writing and the employee will be given a chance for rebuttal. The limit on reimbursement for workshop days does not affect workshops which the teacher has been requested or directed to attend by the Administration or School Board. The District shall reimburse the teacher for mileage at the current IRS rate. Meal costs, if meals are not provided by the workshop, shall not to exceed $10 per day. In computing the number of days attendance at any workshop that causes a teacher to miss an entire teaching day will be counted as one (1) workshop.

In an effort to increase student achievement and give a reasonable amount of time for teachers to attend workshops, the District will pay for or reimburse one workshop day in any one fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). These workshops must be approved bythe Superintendent in advance and must deal with the teacher’s subject area or extracurricular position. With the request for approval, the teacher shall submit sufficient information regarding the workshop to enable the Superintendent to determine its relevance. Approval or denial of a workshop shall be given within five (5) working days of the request. The limit on reimbursement for workshop days does not apply to workshops in which the teacher has been requested or directed to attend by the Administration or School Board. In addition to the cost of the workshop, the District shall reimburse the teacher for mileage at the rate of $.50 per mile; and meal costs of up to $25 per day for meals not provided by the workshop, provided, however, that the total reimbursement for any one workshop shall not exceed $250.00. In computing the number of days of attendance at any workshop that causes a teacher to miss an entire teaching day will be counted as one (1) workshop. SECTION 3 - If a bargaining unit member would like to attend a job-related workshop or take a course to further their education, he/she may fill out a request form and have it approved by the Building Administrator, Superintendent of Schools and, where appropriate, the Director of Special Education. If approved, the employee will receive reimbursement for the price of the course and/or workshop registration fee, (also includes MTEL prep course and MTEL test fee). A maximum of $500.00 will be paid for a course taken per year.
