Promotional Order. Any permanent unit member in the bargaining unit, who successfully applies within the required timeframe and meets the qualifications and specifications of the job description, will be granted an interview. The CSEA Executive Board shall select one (1) CSEA member within the same class if possible, to the interview committee for all CSEA bargaining unit vacancies. Final determination will be made by the interview panel, in alignment with current board policy. If a promotion is denied and the unit member requests the reasons for the denial, the appropriate administrator will meet and discuss the specific reason(s) for denial. If the employee requests, the specific reason(s) for the denial of the promotion will be put into writing. The Superintendent or designee will make the final decision.
