Promotional Qualifications. As a condition of promotion, employees who are promoted to the classification of Battalion Chief from promotional registers established after January 1, 2003, must either be a Department Protocoled Paramedic or become a Department Protocoled Paramedic within two (2) years after the date of promotion. For promotions made after October 1, 2013, if a promoted employee in any of the listed positions does not achieve and maintain the requirements at the time of promotion contained in Section 4 of this Article within the prescribed time frames, that employee shall be demoted.

Promotional Qualifications. Any employee may submit an application for a promotional opportunity. In order to be eligible to apply for a promotion, an employee must: A. Have completed any probationary period associated with the employee’s job classification; B. Have received a rating of “meets standards” or better on the employee evaluation immediately preceding the date of the employee’s application; C. Have proof of possession of the posted minimum qualifications and skills necessary for the position. Proof of qualification and skills necessary to perform the duties of a position must be evident and clearly documented for any individual applying for a promotional opportunity; D. Have no active disciplinary actions or attendance problems which management determines affects the employee’s ability to serve in the position.
Promotional Qualifications. All candidates for Sergeant must have five (5) years of continuous, uninterrupted service at the Allegany County Detention Center and be at a level of Corporal (Non-Supervisory) or higher. All candidates for Staff Sergeant must have six (6) years of continuous uninterrupted service at the Allegany County Detention Center and currently hold the rank of Sergeant and achieved Sergeant II classification or higher. Employees accepting promotion shall receive a ten percent (10%) pay increase upon promotion to Sergeant and ten percent (10%) pay increase upon promotion to Staff Sergeant, or shall be placed at an appropriate pay level as determined by the Employer. Promotional testing will be held on the Second (2nd) week in February annually. Testing will be conducted by the Human Resources Department of Allegany County. Candidates who meet the requirements in step one will need to sign up for the exam between November First (1st) and November Fifteenth (15th). Eligible candidates who have signed up for the exam will be given access to the study material recommended by the testing agency. The testing shall consist of: 1. A (confidential) review of each candidate will be held by the Sheriff or designee. The score will be based on a written recommendation of the immediate supervisor, a review of the Employee's file, including educational background, achievements, qualifications as pertaining to the job description, and previous evaluations. This score shall be forwarded to the H.R. Department prior to the written exam. (This score shall be worth 33% of the Final score) 2. Written exam shall be administered the 2nd week of February. Upon completion, the scores will be tabulated by the H.R. Dept. and forwarded to the Detention Center Administration. A passing score of 70% is required to move on in the process and failure to meet the passing score in the written test will result in the employee not being considered for promotion. (This score shall be worth 33% of the Final score) 3. Candidates who receive a passing score of 70 % on the written score will continue on to an oral interview board consisting of three correctional officers from other agencies. At least one member of the board must hold a similar rank or position that the candidate is being interviewed for.   • Professional Qualifications It shall be a condition of continued professional employment that employees must apply for enrolment in their appropriate professional licensing body by the thirtieth day of continuous service.

  • STAFF QUALIFICATIONS CONTRACTOR shall ensure that all individuals employed, contracted, and/or otherwise hired by CONTRACTOR to provide classroom and/or individualized instruction or related services hold a license, certificate, permit, or other document equivalent to that which staff in a public school are required to hold in the service rendered consistent with Education Code section 56366.1(n)(1) and are qualified pursuant to Title 34 of the Code of Federal Regulations sections 200.56 and 200.58, and Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations sections 3001(y), 3064 and 3065. Such qualified staff may only provide related services within the scope of their professional license, certification or credential and ethical standards set by each profession, and not assume responsibility or authority for another related services provider or special education teacher’s scope of practice. CONTRACTOR shall ensure that all staff are appropriately credentialed to provide instruction and services to students with the disabling conditions placed in their program/school through documentation provided to the CDE (5 CCR 3064 (a)).

  • Blue Sky Qualification The purchase of Units under this Subscription Agreement is expressly conditioned upon the exemption from qualification of the offer and sale of the Units from applicable federal and state securities laws.
