Qualifying. To qualify for the compensation under Article 15.1 an employee must:
(a) have completed thirty (30) calendar days service with the Employer; and
(b) have worked at least fifteen (15) of the preceding thirty (30) calendar days. Regular part-time employees shall have statutory holidays prorated in accordance with their hours relative to a full workweek.
Qualifying. Only permanent or probationary unit members occupying permanent positions are eligible for leaves of absence without pay under the provisions of this Section.
Qualifying. A new employee must actually enter upon the executions of his/her duties with the Board in order to be eligible for sick leave credit.
Qualifying. When a locomotive engineer transfers and it is necessary to acquire certain knowledge or experience on types of locomotives or steam generators, he shall not be permitted to go to work until he has been qualified or can produce evidence that he is qualified.
Qualifying. Only permanent or probationary nurses occupying permanent positions are eligible for leaves of absence without pay under the provisions of this Section.
Qualifying. In order to qualify for holiday pay, an employee must be in a paid status the last workday before and the first workday following said holiday except as required by law.
Qualifying. To qualify as a religious objector, the unit member must submit a notarized statement to SEIU Local 1021, signed by an official of a religious affiliation and certifying the person’s membership in the religious body. Local 1021 shall make a determination as to the legitimacy of the claim, in accordance with applicable law.
Qualifying. SECURITY without the prior written consent of the Banks, make or cause to be made any amendment, variation, supplement or release to, or transfer or novation of, the Qualifying Security.
Qualifying. An employee who acquires a position through bidding or displacement rights and fails to qualify within thirty working days will be assigned by the company for the succeeding five days. During this period the employee may exercise displacement rights. Each subsequently affected employee shall be afforded the same conditions.
Qualifying. (a) To qualify for out-of-class pay, an employee must meet the minimum qualifications for the higher classification and must work forty (40) hours in the higher classification performing significant duties (once per employee per classification). Having met the qualifying requirements, an employee shall receive the higher compensation when assigned work in the higher classification in not less than four (4) consecutive hour increments, except as noted below.
(b) When an employee works out-of-class during a callback as defined in Section 15.3, the employee will receive out-of-class compensation for the minimum callback of two (2) hours, or for hours actually worked, whichever is greater.
(c) Public Safety Dispatchers are qualified for out-of-class compensation when performing duties of a Lead Public Safety Dispatcher when assigned and approved by the department, even when a Lead Public Safety Dispatcher is on duty. Public Safety Dispatchers are paid in not less than two (2) consecutive hour increments per the Out-of-Class Policy Addendum dated January 7, 1991.
