Re: Job Sharing. It is agreed that two (2) employees may share a full-time position subject to the agreement of all parties and provided that the following conditions are met (refusal of the Hospital to agree to a job sharing proposal will not constitute grounds for grievance). This arrangement shall be limited to a maximum of two (2) full-time employee positions at any time. Notwithstanding the limitation of the number of job sharing positions, upon the mutual agreement of the Hospital and the Union, the parties may increase the number of job sharing positions on an individual case by case basis.
Re: Job Sharing. The Parties hereby agree that a request for “Job-Sharing” shall be made in writing to the Site Manager with a copy to Human Resources and AUPE. Upon approval of such request the following principles shall apply:

Re: Job Sharing. 1. When a full-time position is posted, two (2) nurses may apply to equally share that position. Both nurses sharing the position shall be given part-time employment status and shall earn benefits as provided for in the Collective Agreement.

In the event of a vacant full-time position that cannot be filled in the normal job posting procedure, the parties agree that two (2) relief employees may share the position (without changing their status) until such time that the position is filled. Re: Job Sharing. The Employer and the Union agree that, in some circumstances, the process of job sharing may be implemented if desired by a full time employee. Any job sharing arrangement must be done in the following manner:
Re: Job Sharing. The Employer and Association agree to a job sharing arrangement for a trial period of six (6) months. Job sharing requests with regard to full-time positions shall be considered on an individual basis. The division of hours or the schedule shall be determined by mutual agreement between the two (2) nurses and the Manager of Nursing Practice of the unit. Job sharers shall not be to work any tours outside of the tours the full-time position. The above schedule shall conform with the scheduling provisions of the full-time Collective Agreement. Each job sharer way exchange shifts with her partner, as well as with other as provided by the Collective Agreement. The job sharers involved will have the right to determine which partner works on scheduled paid holidays and job sharers shall only be required to work the number of paid holidays that a full-time nurse would be required to work.
