JOB POSTING PROCEDURE. 13.01 If a permanent job vacancy exists, or new job classifica- tions are created in the plant, a copy of such jobs shall be posted on the bulletin boards in the main cafeteria, as well as an electronic copy to the Chairperson. 13.02 Jobs are to be posted for seven (7) days. 13.03 The senior applicant for a job posting will be awarded the position. 13.04 Seniority employees at the time of such job posting may make application on the approved job posting form pro- vided by the Company. This form will be 3 layered to en- able the employee to submit the job posting to Human Resources, the Union and to keep one copy for their own records. A ‘locked’ job posting box will be provided by the Com- pany in the main cafeteria. The Union and the Company will meet to open the job posting box and review the ap- plication. The Company agrees to supply the Plant Chairperson with copies of the Job Posting(s). A list of the applicants and awards will be provided to the Plant Chairperson prior to the successful applicant receiving the job. The Company will post a list of successful applicants receiving the job(s). 13.05 In the event a job posting is cancelled prior to awarding it, the Company will post the cancellation on the above described bulletin boards, and will inform the Chairper- son/Union, in writing. The Company will discuss reasons for cancellation upon request. 13.06 The job posting will include the following information: • Main duties and responsibilities • Department • Classification • Shift • Hours of workPay Rate and Premiums • Number of Openings • Existing job or “new” job 13.07 Employees may successfully post for a lower or lateral paying job every three (3) months. Employees may suc- cessfully post to a higher paying job at any time. When a new classification has been created, or a steady day vacancy becomes available, all seniority employees will be permitted to post for the job regardless of the above procedure. 13.08 Employees posting from one classification to another will report to the awarded job as soon as reasonably possible, but no more than twenty-one (21) calendar days from the date the employee is notified that they are the successful candidate, unless mutually agreed upon. 13.09 The posting will be awarded within three (3) business days after the posting box has been emptied. JOB POSTING PROCEDURE a) Vacancies of a permanent nature will be posted, in accordance with Schedule K, for three (3) working days throughout the plant. Copies of such postings, as well as the successful applicants, shall be forwarded to the Union. b) Vacancies of a temporary nature will be posted in accordance with the above procedure provided the vacancy will last in excess of six (6) consecutive weeks. c) It is agreed that a temporary job will not last more than six (6) months. Only the employee’s prior rate shall be subject to rate protection and employees need not necessarily be returned to their prior job. d) Subject to Schedule L, applications received will be evaluated based on the employee’s seniority, qualifications, and ability to learn the job. It is agreed the Company may fill the vacancy temporarily pending the outcome of the posting. e) When an employee has successfully applied for a job posting, a minimum of five (5) working days on the new job shall be established before the transfer becomes official. During this period, employees will have the right to return to their previous job. f) Successful applicants shall be transferred to their new posted position as soon as legitimate business requirements permit. g) Once selected for promotion or transfer to a permanent position, employees will not be eligible for future job competition for a period of six (6) months except that an employee can apply on a job posting for a promotion or a different shift within a six (6) month period. h) Employees selected to a temporary position will not be eligible for other temporary position competitions until the temporary job they currently fill has expired.
JOB POSTING PROCEDURE. Definitions 24.01 (a) The definition of a job opening for the purposes of the Job Posting Procedure is any permanent addition or replacement to the Regular employee staff, excluding Regular Term, within a District.
JOB POSTING PROCEDURE. 14.01 When a permanent position or a temporary position exceeding thirty-one (31) consecutive working days becomes vacant or is created, the Board will post the notice of vacancy within five (5) working days of the Board becoming aware of the vacancy or newly created position, for a minimum period of five (5) working days in all schools and Board office covered by this Agreement. All subsequent vacancies will be posted within five (5) working days. Nothing herein obliges the Board to designate a vacancy or prevents the cancellation of a posting. Summer postings will be sent to all employees on layoff. No position will be posted if there are qualified laid-off employees who possess the skills required to fill the vacancy. These positions will be filled in accordance with Article 10.02 (Layoff and Recall). 14.02 a) In filling any posted permanent vacancies under this agreement, the Board shall base its decision on the basis of qualifications and skills to perform the required task. Qualifications being equal, seniority shall be the deciding factor: i) first by bargaining unit employees who have made application from the seniority unit where the vacancy occurs, and if there are no applicants; ii) from all employees in the other seniority unit of the bargaining unit who have made an application for the vacant position; iii) if there are no qualified applicants from the bargaining unit, the Employer may fill the position in the most convenient manner.

Notwithstanding 12.02 (a) the following classifications will be based on seniority only: assembler; inspector/packer; material handler; and, janitor. a. Employees will be eligible for a maximum of two (2) permanent transfer opportunities per calendar year, unless the posted vacancy is to a job classification that is a higher rate of pay.

JOB POSTING PROCEDURE. (a) In the event that a full-time vacancy or new ly created full-time position comes open in a store covered by the terms of this Collective Agreement, notice of such vacancy or new ly created position shall be posted for seven (7) calendar days on the Bulletin Board at the store w here the vacancy or new ly created position occurs. All such notices shall designate the job classification, title, the shift, the rate of pay and the date such notice w as posted. The notices shall be completed in duplicate and signed by the Store Ow ner/Operator. Any employee of the store where the vacancy or new ly created position occurs may apply for such job within the time limits specified above by affixing their signature to the job posting notice. Such signature shall be witnessed by an Employer(s) representative and dated. (b) After such notice has been posted for seven (7) calendar days, it shall be removed from the bulletin board. (c) If an employee is absent from w ork and during such absence a job posting is made, such employee will be considered an applicant provided he or a Union Xxxxxxx acting as his agent and upon his request affixes the employee' s name to the posting within the stipulated seven (7) calendar days. (d) The Employer(s) shall, within seven (7) calendar days after the notice has been removed, post on the same bulletin board for at least seven (7) calendar days a notice indicating the name and length of seniority of the successful applicant. A copy of such notice shall be forw arded to the Union office. (e) Where a notice of vacancy or new ly created position is for a position other than an Assistant Manager, Department Manager, or Head Cashier position, the Employer(s) agree that the follow ing factors shall determine which employee shall fill the vacancy or new ly created position: (i) the ability and qualifications to perform the normal requirements of the position; and (ii) the seniority ranking of the employees w ho have applied for the vacancy or new ly created position. (f) Where a notice of vacancy or new ly created position is for an Assistant Manager, Department Manager or Head Cashier position, the follow ing factors shall determine w hich employee shall fill the vacancy or new ly created position: (i) w here the ability and qualifications to perform the normal requirements of the position are relatively equal, then seniority ranking of the employees w ho have applied for the position shall be considered.
JOB POSTING PROCEDURE. 18.01 Where the Board determines there is a vacancy for a newly created position or a temporary employment opportunity as per Article 15, the position shall be posted on all bulletin boards and the Board’s website for a period of six (6) working days and may be advertised simultaneously in a local newspaper. The posting shall indicate the number of employees required, the location of, title, a brief description and salary range of the position. Employees must apply online through the Board’s website within the posting period. The Board agrees to reply to all internal applicants. The successful applicant will be awarded the job as soon as possible. 18.02 During the months of July and August, the Board agrees to advertise job postings on the Board’s website. 18.03 The parties agree that bargaining unit employees have the right to apply for a posted position regardless of the employee’s work location. 18.04 Promotion is hereby defined as a move from a lower classification to a higher classification, and a transfer is hereby defined as a move from one position to another within the same or lower classification. The Board shall fill all job vacancies from within the bargaining unit before hiring from outside, providing bargaining unit employees have made application in writing and have the necessary qualifications to fill the vacant job. 18.05 Promotions and transfers shall be made on the basis of qualifications and seniority. In the event two (2) or more employees have the same qualifications, the employee with the greatest seniority shall be selected. 18.06 When an employee is promoted to a higher classification, the employee shall transfer to the same experience level and receive the full classification increase upon commencement of duties. Where an employee is the successful applicant to a lower classification, the employee shall transfer to the same experience level and accept the full classification decrease of the lower classification upon commencement of duties. 18.07 In the event that no applicant has the qualifications for a posted job, the Board may select one of the applicants to train for the job, giving due regard to seniority; and provided that such training shall not exceed sixty (60) working days.
JOB POSTING PROCEDURE. The Board agrees to post all bargaining unit job openings in all buildings, the District website, and the bus garage for five (5) workdays. At the time a position is posted, it shall be e-mailed to all employees. The notice shall contain the job title, qualifications required or requested, rate of pay, hours and/or days of work, and location of the vacancy. Employees who wish to be considered must qualify for the vacancy. Application for the posted position must be in writing, to the Superintendent within the posting period. Prior to outside posting and interviews of non-employees, current qualified employee applicants will be interviewed and considered. Items to be taken into consideration are seniority and previous performance evaluations. After the interview and consideration by the interviewer and interviewing team, assuming the qualifications are relatively equal, District seniority shall prevail for the appointment of the person to the vacant position. When there is an identical hire date, seniority will be determined by the original start date (excluding training days). The second determination will be application date. Employees who are rejected or unsuccessful in their bid for the vacant position may request a post-interview conference with the interviewer or interview team. Any employee interested in a specific vacancy should notify the office of the Superintendent annually in writing (a separate written notification for each individual specific vacancy) at the end of the school year. During summer months, notices of vacancies will be posted as above and e- mailed to those who have given written notice of interest. When a central office, non-bargaining unit position is posted, all qualified bargaining unit member applicants will be interviewed and given consideration.
