Released Time for Association Representatives. The Association representatives may use his/her daily planning period for Association business. In addition, the WTEA president or his/her designee will be released from duty without loss of pay to attend official meetings of the National Education Association, Ohio Education Association, and Central OEA/NEA, Inc. Such release time shall be limited to a maximum of four (4) days paid release time per contract year total. Other unpaid leave may also be granted by the Superintendent.

Released Time for Association Representatives a. When it is necessary for representatives of the Association to engage in Association activities directly relating to the Association duties as representatives of the teachers which cannot be performed other than school hours, upon the approval of the Superintendent/designated representative within a reasonable time in advance, they shall be given such time, without loss of pay as is necessary to perform any such activities. The Association and its officers recognize and agree that this privilege should not be abused.
Released Time for Association Representatives. 1. There will be a duty-free schedule (except homeroom) for all Association officers and all duly elected Association head representatives as follows: two (2) at each high school, one (1) at each middle school, and one (1) at each elementary school.
