Reporting Off Duty. Employees who are unable to report for work shall, if possible, notify their supervisors at least two (2) hours before their starting time of such inability to report to work. However, any employee who is unable to report for work is expected to notify his supervisor as soon as he knows of his inability to report to work.

Reporting Off Duty. An employee must notify dispatch and the officer in charge at headquarters at least sixty (60) minutes prior to the time he/she is scheduled for duty. Exceptions may be made for deviations from this requirement for good cause, at the discretion of the Chief.
Reporting Off Duty i. Drivers and aides reporting off duty shall phone the transportation supervisor at least one (1) hour before his/her route is to start. When a regular driver needs a substitute, he/she shall notify the Supervisor of Transportation, who shall provide a substitute driver for that bus. Drivers reporting off please phone as follows: (Office) 797-3926 between 6:15 AM and 4:30 PM. Home and emergency numbers for the Transportation Supervisor will be available in the transportation office. Every attempt will be made to have someone available in the office during the above stated hours.

Reporting Off Duty. Any employee taking sick leave shall immediately report or cause to be reported his absence from work to the Police Chief or Officer in charge of the department, and upon return to work shall immediately report such fact.

For employees whose day shift commences on or prior to hours a call is acceptable as late as minutes before the start of shift. It is recognized that an employee may find upon waking that is not fit to report for work. Returning to Work: The minimum reporting expectation is: at least ten hours before the commencement of the next scheduled day shift of the employee; and at least four (4) hours before the evening or the night shift. It is understood that the above process does not apply to absences that would require a return to work plan.
