Reserve Sick Leave. 2 Rail Employees employed with METRO as of November 1, 1977, were credited with a 3 balance of sick leave known as reserve sick leave. Such reserve sick leave may be used only for an 4 illness during which the Rail Employee is hospitalized as an inpatient for at least 24 hours. No sick 5 leave shall be transferred from such reserve account to the active account. All regular sick leave in 6 the active account must be exhausted before sick leave in the reserve account may be used. The 7 provisions of Section 3, Paragraph C shall apply to reserve sick leave.

Reserve Sick Leave. A. Reserve sick leave is the total number of unused sick leave days above a teacher's 90 accumulated days, and the total number of unused personal leave days above a teacher's 3 accumulated personal leave days. Once they reach their ten anniversary, the economic value will be converted to one hundred percent (100%), using the rate of pay at the time of the initial conversion to the RSL.

Reserve Sick Leave. A reserve sick leave bank is established with accumulation at the rate of ½ day per month, with a maximum accumulation of 60 days. Use of days in the reserve sick leave bank shall be for continuous illness only, and only after the expiration of the employee's own regular sick leave. Reserve sick leave bank accumulation is not subject to pay provisions under any conditions except usage.

Reserve Sick Leave. An employee will be paid Sick Leave from his Reserve Sick Leave Account, if available, to satisfy waiting periods for STD and LTD. Reserve sick leave can also be used to cover major surgical (medial) procedures performed in a hospital or doctors office. Under no circumstances can an employee use Reserve Sick Leave in conjunction with STD and LTD.
Reserve Sick Leave. All full-time employees covered by this Agreement shall receive, in addition to current sick leave, five (5) reserve sick leave days for each full fiscal year of service, the fiscal year being July 1 through June 30. The total amount in the RSL, less any used during the employee’s history, shall be the amount due to the employee at the time of separation. An employee may draw upon the RSL as need on a hour by hour basis, however, no additional hours may be placed into the account beyond the initial creation. Additional rules contained within this agreement regarding the economic value of sick leave shall not apply to RSL. 1. Employees that have in excess of twenty (20) years may request in writing up to twenty percent (20%) of the cash value in the RSL to be deposited into their 457 plan in any given year. 2.
