Regular Sick Leave. Full-time Unit Members shall accrue regular sick leave at the rate of one (1) day (eight hours) for each full calendar month worked during the fiscal year. Unit Members employed less than one hundred (100) percent shall accrue a pro-rata share of regular sick leave, as it relates to full-time employment. 15.1.1.1 On the date of employment, and at the beginning of each fiscal year thereafter, the full amount of regular sick leave that a Unit Member is entitled to under this section shall be credited. New Unit Members of the District accrue sick leave from the first (1st) day of the month in which employed, provided their employment commences on or before the fifteenth (15th). If employment commences on or after the sixteenth (16th) day of the month, sick leave will be accrued to the end of the month for a Unit Member ending service with the District, provided the Unit Member’s last day of work is on or after the fifteenth (15th) day of the month. 15.1.1.2 Probationary Unit Members shall not be eligible to take more than six (6) days of sick leave, or the proportionate amount to which the employee may be entitled if employed less than full time, until the first (1st) day of the calendar month after completion of six (6) months of active service with the District. 15.1.1.3 A Unit Member must be in paid status to earn sick leave. Regular sick leave not used in any fiscal year shall be accumulated from year to year as provided by law.

Regular Sick Leave. All employees who have accumulated a minimum of six (6) months of service with the same Employer or their successor or predecessor shall be entitled to five (5) days of sick leave in each year of employment, measured from date of hire, without suffering any loss or reduction of earnings for bona fide illness preventing them from performing their job duties. Employees may carry over any unused sick days from year to year, up to maximum accumulation of thirty (30) days. An employee shall notify the Union and their Employer promptly in order to be eligible for sick leave payments and shall, upon the request of their Employer, present medical evidence of their illness of two (2) or more consecutive scheduled workdays.
Regular Sick Leave. 14.1.1.1 Unit Members who perform assignments during a regular semester or trimester shall be credited with one and three-tenths (1.3) hours of regular sick leave for every eighteen (18) hours of service. For purposes of crediting and deducting regular sick leave for service as an adjunct faculty member, assignments performed during the winter intersession shall be considered part of the spring semester or trimester load. 14.1.1.2 Unused sick leave shall be accumulated from year to year and may be applied only to absences during a regular semester or trimester. 14.1.1.3 Absences during a regular semester or trimester shall be deducted from accumulated regular sick leave in one (1) hour increments on the basis of actual hours of absence or fraction thereof.

Regular Sick Leave. Each Full-Time Faculty member will accrue 10 sick leave days per academic year. a. A Faculty member may use accrued paid sick leave only for that Faculty member’s injury/illness or the injury/illness of the Faculty member’s immediate family (spouse, parent, child). b. A Faculty member shall not perform work for another employer while on paid sick leave. c. A Faculty member who wants to use paid sick leave shall notify their Associate Xxxx at least 1 hour before their regularly scheduled class starting time. The Faculty member shall promptly notify students of absences when requested by their Associate Xxxx. d. Paid sick leave shall be used in one half or whole day increments. e. Paid sick leave shall not be accrued after a Faculty member has been absent on paid sick leave more than 30 consecutive calendar days. Paid sick leave may be accumulated up to a total of 160 days. f. A Faculty member upon returning to work after 3 or more consecutive days of paid sick leave, or release from a hospital, must submit a doctor’s statement to the Human Resources Office indicating the Faculty member’s full release to return to work or specific restrictions under which employment could be resumed. g. Faculty who are on paid sick leave for 3 or more consecutive days of paid sick leave must be released to their regular appointment before returning to supplemental teaching. Faculty who are on paid sick leave will not receive supplemental pay until they have been released to their regular appointment. Stipends will be prorated and courses reassigned. h. A Faculty member who misuses paid sick time for reasons other than the Faculty member’s injury/illness or the injury/illness of the Faculty member’s immediate family is subject to discipline, up to and including discharge. i. Human Resources or designee may request medical documentation for a Faculty member’s injury/illness or the injury/illness of the Faculty member’s immediate family. j. Unused paid sick time will not be paid upon a Faculty member’s separation of employment.
Regular Sick Leave. Ten days of paid leave available for illness or injury, with unlimited accumulation, or for pregnancy and childbirth (Education Code §§44978 and 44965). Regular Sick Leave and Extended Sick Leave (below) may be utilized for maternity or paternity leave (Education Code §44977.5).

Regular Sick Leave. Permanent, apprentice, learner, trainee, and provisional employees shall earn sick leave at the rate of .0462 hours for each hour of pay status service (exclusive of overtime). The amount of sick leave accumulated at the time of any illness or injury (or other qualified use of sick leave) will be available in full. Sick leave may be accumulated without limit during the term of this Agreement. Vacation and sick leave will continue to accrue while an employee is using sick leave. Part-time employees eligible for benefits shall earn sick leave on a pro rata basis.
Regular Sick Leave. Each full-time bargaining unit employee shall be entitled to 10 days yearly sick leave (or prorated share based on FTE of a less than full-time bargaining unit employee).
