Resignation and/or Retirement. A person about to resign or about to retire under the provisions of the state retirement act or who is to be terminated without fault on their part, and who has earned annual leave may be granted annual leave for the time so earned. The annual leave must be taken prior to the effective date of any such resignation, retirement or termination; or, in lieu of such annual leave, an employee may be granted a lump sum payment for annual leave time accrued, determined by multiplying the unused hours of annual leave time by the current hourly rate of pay.
Resignation and/or Retirement. Employee may resign and/or retire from District service at any time with written notice of the effective date of Employee’s resignation or retirement. Upon notice of resignation or retirement and to the extent permitted by law, Employee shall facilitate the least disruptive transition in order to timely complete District projects currently in progress and assist a new Division Chief in assuming office.

Such vacation must be taken prior to the effective date of any such resignation, retirement or lay-off; or, in lieu of such vacation, an employee shall be granted a lump sum payment for vacation time accrued to employee’s credit.

Resignation and/or Retirement. A. Any Administrative Assistant who retires or resigns does not forfeit her right to earned vacation time, but loses her seniority rights in the event of re-employment.
B. Upon resignation or retirement, the Board will pay to the Administrative Assistant all unused frozen sick leave days at the rate of 80% of $102.08 per day.
C. Upon the death of an Educational Administrative Assistant, regardless of years of service, 50% of accumulated leave days (at the daily rate of $102.08) shall be paid to the beneficiary as provided to the life insurance policy held with the Board of Education.

2. An employee nearing retirement will be required to provide the City at least a minimum of six months’ notice in order to allow the City sufficient lead time in hiring a successor. Exceptions may be granted upon written request by the retiring employee through the Fire Chief, or designee, to the City Manager.

C. Upon the death of a secretary. regardless of years of service, 50% of accumulated leave days shall be paid to the beneficiary as provided on the life insurance policy held with the Board of Education.
D. All sick leave payouts (B. and C. above) will be at the secretaries' 1995-96 rate of pay.
