Dive Team. ‌ 13.9.1 The parties agree that members of the Dive Team shall receive a monthly stipend to compensate for the unusual time and other demands placed upon them. That stipend shall be $50.00/month for officers assigned on a month-to-month basis. Notwithstanding Government Code section 3300 et seq., the removal of any person from this assignment may be made without hearing, and shall not be considered a punitive act, as discretion for this assignment remains with the Sheriff.
Dive Team. Employees assigned by the Chief of Police on a full time basis, as members of the Department’s Dive Team shall receive a special payment of $115 per month. Payment shall be provided on a monthly basis.

Effective the first pay period following Board of Supervisors approval, that stipend shall be increased from $50.00/month to $150.00/month for officers assigned on a month-to- month basis. The County shall periodically review the positions covered by this provision to determine the number, location, and level of skill required and may modify, increase or eliminate positions to meet the changing needs of the department. Removal from such positions for performance reasons only shall subject to appeal pursuant to Civic Service rule 4.04.

Dive Team. A member appointed by the Chief Constable to the Saanich Dive Team shall be paid a duty allowance of fifty dollars ($50.00), in addition to their regular pay, for each completed month of such appointment, but to be deducted one dollar and sixty-five cents ($1.65) per day for each day the member is not available for duty.
Dive Team. The Fire Chief will make every effort to select a minimum of 27 members on the Dive Team (exclusive of Chief Officers), including a Dive Team Commander and three (3) shift dive team leaders. This will include a minimum assignment of five (5) divers per shift. The following will be included as minimum qualifications for assignment to the Dive Team: • Have served one (1) year and completed probation in the Coral Springs Fire Department; • Possession/Maintenance of Dive Rescue 1 certification or equal certification accepted by the Fire Chief or his/her designee; and • Completion of annual dive training. SWAT-MEDIC Team: The Fire Chief will make every effort select a minimum of 9 members on the SWAT-MEDIC Team in total from the Department. The following will be included as minimum qualifications for assignment to the SWAT-MEDIC/SWAT Team: • Have served two (2) years as a Firefighter/Paramedic; • Must meet current Coral Springs Police Department qualifications; and once appointed must complete required SWAT training as determined by the Police Department Team Commander and as approved by the Fire Chief. The City will reimburse each member for the cost of a pre-paid legal defense policy associated with his/her membership on the SWAT medic team. A policy will be drafted to provide for administrative investigation due process when a SWAT Medic acting as a tactical medical professional, as defined by F.S.S. 790.25, uses force, including deadly force, when deployed during a SWAT operation. The parties agree that the due process provided for within the policy will be substantially identical to the due process provided for within F.S.S. 112.532, the Police Officer Xxxx of Rights. For the avoidance of all doubt, it is the parties’ intent that the policy for administrative investigation due process shall only apply to when a SWAT Medic acting as tactical medical professional uses force, including deadly force, while deployed on a SWAT operation. The due process policy for tactical medical professionals that use force when deployed during a SWAT operation, and all alterations thereto, shall be agreed upon by the Union and the City.
