Salary Schedule Movement. The sabbatical year counts as a year of service to the District. A Principal on sabbatical leave shall be eligible for an experience increment for the year following the leave.
Salary Schedule Movement. 17.3.1 Advancement on the salary schedule is limited to one (1) column per school year.
17.3.1.1 Additional units shall be banked for future salary schedule advancement.
17.3.2 Salary step increments shall be credited only at the end of a school year for the following school year.
17.3.3 One step on the salary schedule will be granted for each year of District employment in which the unit member completes 75% of the days in the contract year.
17.3.4 Unit members with a partial contract of less than 75% will be granted one step on the salary schedule when their cumulative contracts meet or exceed 75%.
17.3.5 Any unit member of the District who leaves a full-time assignment to serve in the Armed Forces of the United States will be entitled to all rights and privileges specified by law and will, in addition, upon return to the District, be credited on the appropriate salary schedule with service to equal one step on the salary schedule provided the unit member has the units required.
17.3.6 Credit will be given for Peace Corps experience or VISTA experience only when such experience has directly involved the teaching of students in a regular class situation.
Salary Schedule Movement. Movement on the salary schedule shall be based on years of service completed with the Bay Village City Schools. All individual/small group instruction teachers who have worked fifty-four (54) days or more in a school year shall, upon completion of the school year, be advanced by the appropriate increment (next step) on the salary schedule. Salary Schedule Movement. The contract of employment will be for one year and is automatically non-renewed at the conclusion of that year without the need for compliance with ORC Sections 3319.11 and 3319.111. Re-employed teachers will be evaluated pursuant to Article VII - Evaluation.

Salary Schedule Movement. Provided adequate funding exists, movement on the salary schedule can occur for two reasons. There is no diagonal movement. Movement can only occur to the right or down. Once a teacher reaches a column, the teacher will remain in that column until the teacher meets the requirements listed to move to another column on the right.

If a Bargaining Unit Member has a hire date of January 1st through June 30th, the Bargaining Unit Member will remain on the same step for the next fiscal year. If a Bargaining Unit Member has a hire date of July 1st through December 31st, the Bargaining Unit Member will move to the next step for the next fiscal year.
Salary Schedule Movement. Changes made before October 15 of each year will advance the member to the appropriate column with retroactive pay to the beginning of that contractual year. Changes made by January 15 of any year will advance the member to the appropriate column with the new pay rate to take effect February 1 of that contractual year.
