SATURDAY MAKE UP DAY. When conditions beyond the control of the Contractor, such as severe weather, power failure, fire or natural disaster, prevent the performance of Project Work on a regularly scheduled work day, the Contractor may, with mutual agreement of the Local Union, schedule Saturday during that calendar week in which a workday was lost, as a make-up work day at straight time rates, where New York Labor Law Section 220 and the Prevailing Wage Schedule for Westchester County permit this; providing the employees involved work a total of 40 hours or less during that work week. Any work after eight hours on a Saturday make-up day shall be at time and one half. If the make-up day results in an employee to be entitled to more than forty (40) hours pay for the week, the additional time shall be at time and one half. The crew of employees on a make-up day shall not exceed the average crew size employed during the week.

SATURDAY MAKE UP DAY. In the event that work cannot be performed Monday through Friday because of inclement weather or major mechanical breakdown (limited to curb and gutter machine, concrete pump, laser screed, xxxxxxx, and concrete plant) Employees (at their option) may make up such a day on Saturdays and shall be paid at the applicable straight time rate. No employee shall be disciplined or discharged for not working on Saturday make-up. The Employer, as a courtesy, shall notify the Union of any Saturday make-up day work prior to working same.
SATURDAY MAKE UP DAY. In the event inclement weather prevails for two (2) days, Monday through Friday (minimum of four (4) hours lost each day), the make-up day as proposed by the Employer Committee will become operational for that week and the following clause shall become applicable. An inclement weather make-up day on Saturday shall be paid at straight-time rate, understanding anything over ten (10) hours per day or forty (40) hours per week is one and one-half (1½x) times wages. Employees desiring to work on Saturday must commit their intent no later than noon on Friday. Employees shall not be discriminated against whatsoever for not working a make-up day, prior to commitment. Make-up days must be scheduled for a minimum of eight (8) hours, weather permitting.
SATURDAY MAKE UP DAY. Section 9.01 - Saturday will be worked at straight time per hour if a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday is lost during the work week due to inclement weather conditions (except where an observed holiday fall on a workday). Work in excess of eight (8) hours shall be paid at time and one-half the rate. Working a Saturday make-up day will be on a strictly voluntary basis. The Employer must notify the Union office and Employees by noon Thursday that Saturday will be make-up day or by noon Friday if 11 Friday is the inclement weather day Saturday will be considered a normal workday with respect to all work rules. Preference for make-up day shall he given to Employees affected by the cancellation. The number of Employees working on Saturday may not exceed the number of working (or scheduled to work) on the job during the week. The Employer shall not discriminate against any Employee, in any manner because the Employee refuses to work a Saturday make-up day. If an Employee is called out for a Saturday make-up day, the worker shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours. If the Union believes that any Employer is abusing this Saturday Make-up Day provision, a grievance may be lodged against the Employer. If the Employer loses this grievance, that Employer shall lose its right to schedule Saturday Make-Up Days for the balance of the duration of the contract. This provision is restricted to two (2) jobsites per Employer per week. This provision applies from October 1st through April 30th.
SATURDAY MAKE UP DAY. On exterior work requiring three or more Tile Finishers, in the event men assigned to the job are caused loss of time by weather conditions only and have less than 24 hours pay accumulated for the week shall be allowed to work Saturday at straight time pay if they so agree and Local 21 is notified in advance. In the event the contractor wishes to add more Tile Finishers than those who have worked on job, the rate of pay shall be at the overtime rate of time and one-half for all. Sunday shall not be allowed as a makeup day. No disciplinary action shall be taken against an Employee not working a makeup day.
SATURDAY MAKE UP DAY. In the event, due to inclement weather, similar Act of God, or a situation beyond the control of the Contractor, it is not reasonably possible for any individual employee on a particular jobsite to complete forty (40) hours of work, on either an eight (8) hour day shift or ten (10) hour day shift, Monday through Friday, during the same calendar week, the Employer shall notify the Local Union and the employee(s) of the necessity and reason for a make-up day. Hours worked on Saturday shall be paid at the straight time rate, up to eight (8) hours on Saturday or when the employee has worked a total of forty (40) hours in the work week. No employee will be terminated for refusing to work on Saturday at the straight time rate of pay. A violation of this provision shall be subject to the grievance procedure.

SATURDAY MAKE UP DAY. (a). When Employees are not able to work due to circumstances outside the control of the Employer, such that the entire job is shut down, then these Employees may work Saturday at the "straight time" rate of pay provided, however, that the entire electrical crew is asked to work.
