Scaffolds. All employees working from a scaffold above the height of forty (40) feet from ground level (roof shall constitute "ground"), a minimum of one (1) hour at double time shall be paid in any one (1) day that an employee works high time, or accumulated time spent above this height, whichever is greater. Two (2) qualified persons shall constitute a crew.
Scaffolds. All hanging or swinging scaffolds shall conform to applicable safety laws and regulations. OSHA approved safety harnesses shall be furnished to and worn by all Employees while working on said scaffolds.
ScaffoldsIn case scaffolding is part of the Service Supplier’s scope, Service Supplier shall ensure that: ▪ Scaffolds are equipped with suitable top railings, intermediate railings and skirting boards. The components of the work floor must be mounted in a close-fitting way without leaving any gaps between them. ▪ The work floor is accessed by means of a staircase (tower) or ladder; ▪ Before commissioning, the scaffold is checked by a competent person of the Service Supplier. Thereafter the scaffold should be checked on minimum intervals of time as required in the local legislation, or due to a modification of the scaffold; ▪ When requested, calculation notes for scaffolds must be submitted to Jan De Nul Group on request. ▪ People that are not involved in the assembly of the scaffold may not access the scaffold until it is completed and checked by a competent person of the Service Supplier. ▪ Employees who work on scaffolding have been trained in accordance with the applicable legislation and regulations. If the scaffolding must be modified in order to carry out works (e.g. moving work platforms), this may only be done by employees who have had appropriate training for this. After modifications have been made, the scaffolding must be inspected by a competent person of the Service Supplier. ▪ At the request of JDN, the necessary training certificates for working on, (dis)assembling, adapting and releasing scaffolds can be submitted. It is the Service Supplier’s responsibility to organise adequate training courses for its employees.
ScaffoldsThe Contractor shall erect, use, maintain, and dismantle scaffolds in accordance with 29 CFR 1926 Subpart L. Additionally: A. All scaffolds shall be constructed as physically complete as possible. This includes handrails and midrails on all sides at all elevations used as a Work location, complete Work decks, toe boards on all sides and ladder access. B. Scaffolds and scaffold components shall be inspected for visible defects by a competent person before each Work shift. This inspection shall be documented on the scaffold tag. C. Contractor shall utilize a scaffold tag system meeting the following criteria: 1. A green scaffold tag designates a complete scaffold. 2. A yellow scaffold tag designates a scaffold that is not complete, but may be used with special precautions. e.g., 100% tie off. Yellow tags shall identify the scaffold deficiency and applicable precautions/requirements. 3. A red tag designates a scaffold is in the process of being erected, changed, dismantled or otherwise unfit for occupancy and shall not be used under any circumstances. 4. A competent person shall affix the appropriate tag to each scaffold access ladder. All tags shall identify the responsible Contractor and shall be dated and signed by the erecting supervisor and competent person.
ScaffoldsSection 1. No employee shall build a wall higher than four feet and eight inches for a scaffold. This also means that no scaffold shall be built more than four feet and six inches high, plus decking, in order to prevent reaching down from scaffolding to wall. In working up to overhead beams or ceiling, employees are permitted decking of scaffold to be six feet from overhead if proper foot scaffold and ten- inch boards are used. Section 2. In no case shall employees be laid off for the purpose of building or stocking up of scaffolds. Section 3. Employer shall provide ladders for employees to get on and off all scaffolds. Section 4. Xxxxx foremen shall see that all scaffolds are properly built so that they will be safe for the employees working on them. Section 5. All outside scaffolds shall have a guard rail in compliance with the safety standards regarding the condition. Section 6. If employees are required to work on a wall where other crafts are working above them a protective canopy shall be provided.

  • Scaffolding The Landlord must ensure that any scaffolding erected outside the Premises in exercise of the Landlord's rights under this Lease: is not erected or retained (unless in an emergency) during the months of January, November and December or during the one week period either side of Easter Sunday, in each year; is removed as soon as reasonably practicable, with any damage caused to the exterior of the Premises made good; causes as little obstruction as is reasonably practicable to the entrances to the Premises and the Centre; and does not have advertising displayed on it (except for any health and safety notices and signs relating to any other tenant whose premises are obstructed or interfered with by the scaffolding) unless the Tenant has consented to its display. If the Tenant's sign and fascia or display window is obstructed or interfered with by the scaffolding, the Landlord will permit the Tenant to display a sign (approved by the Landlord) on the exterior of the scaffolding in front of the Premises so that it is visible to the public. [Turnover Information The Landlord will only use any information provided to the Landlord under Clause 4.24 for management purposes in connection with the monitoring and assessment of sales at and the performance of the Centre. The Landlord may disclose it to the following people on the terms of Clause 5.7.2: the Landlord's advisors and funders; any party (and their advisors and funders) interested in acquiring the Landlord's interest in the Centre; where required by law; and where required by the rules of any listing authority.   • Structures Airport facilities such as bridges; culverts; catch basins, inlets, retaining walls, cribbing; storm and sanitary sewer lines; water lines; underdrains; electrical ducts, manholes, handholes, lighting fixtures and bases; transformers; flexible and rigid pavements; navigational aids; buildings; vaults; and, other manmade features of the airport that may be encountered in the work and not otherwise classified herein. 10-50 SUBGRADE. The soil which forms the pavement foundation.

  • Fabrication Making up data or results and recording or reporting them.

  • Tools (a) The Employer shall provide on all construction jobs, and elsewhere where reasonably necessary and practicable (or if requested by the Employee), a suitable and secure waterproof lock-up solely for the purpose of storing Employees’ tools, and on multi-storey and major projects the Employer shall provide, where possible, a suitable lock-up for Employees’ tools within a reasonable distance of the work area of large groups of Employees. (b) Where an Employee is absent from work because of illness or accident the Employer shall ensure that the Employee’s tools are securely stored during their absence.

  • Devices BNY Mellon will restrict the transfer of Customer Data from its network to mass storage devices. BNY Mellon will use a mobile device management system or equivalent tool when mobile computing is used to provide the services. Applications on such authenticated devices will be housed within an encrypted container and BNY Mellon will maintain the ability to remote wipe the contents of the container.

  • Plant The expression ‘Plant’ as used in the tender papers shall mean every temporary accessory necessary or considered necessary by the Engineer to execute, construct, complete and maintain the work and all altered, modified, substituted and additional works ordered in the time and the manner herein provided and all temporary materials and special and other articles and appliance of every sort kind and description whatsoever intended or used therefore.

  • Cooking The University will permit cooking only in the designated kitchen areas of the University Housing. In all other areas, cooking is permitted only with University approved appliances. The following appliances are prohibited: toaster ovens, microwave ovens larger than 800 xxxxx, refrigerators larger than 4.2 cubic feet, gas grills, steamers and any open-flame cooking device or heating unit.   • Excavation If an excavation shall be made upon land adjacent to the Leased Premises, or shall be authorized to be made, Tenant shall afford to the person causing or authorized to cause such excavation, license to enter upon the Leased Premises for the purpose of doing such work as said person shall deem necessary to preserve the wall or the building of which the Leased Premises form a part from injury or damage and to support the same by proper foundation, without any claim for damages or indemnity from Landlord, or diminution or abatement of Rent.

  • Supplies 1. Supplies are defined as consumable items necessary to carry out the services under this Contract including medical supplies, drugs, janitorial supplies, office supplies, patient educational supplies, software, and any items of tangible personal property other than those defined as equipment above. 2. Tangible personal property includes controlled assets, including firearms, regardless of the acquisition cost, and the following assets with an acquisition cost of $500 or more, but less than $5,000, which includes desktop and laptop computers (including notebooks, tablets and similar devices), non-portable printers and copiers, emergency management equipment, communication devices and systems, medical and laboratory equipment, and media equipment are also considered Supplies. 3. Prior approval by the System Agency of the purchase of Controlled Assets is not required, but such purchases must be reported on the Grantees Property Inventory Form.
