Section 8.1.2. Unworked Holidays. 2 Eligible employees will receive pay equal to their normal work shift at their base rate in effect 3 at the time the holiday occurs. An employee who is on the active payroll on the holiday will 4 be eligible for pay for such unworked holiday.

Section 8.1.2. Unworked Holidays. 47 Eligible employees shall receive pay equal to their normal work shift at their base rate in effect 48 at the time the holiday occurs. Employees who are on the active payroll on the holiday and 1 have worked either their last scheduled shift preceding the holiday or their first scheduled shift 2 succeeding the holiday, and are not on leave of absence, shall be eligible for pay for such 3 unworked holiday. An exception to this requirement will occur if employees can furnish proof 4 satisfactory to the District that because of illness they were unable to work on either of such 5 shifts, and the absence previous to such holiday, by reason of such illness, has not been longer 6 than thirty (30) regular workdays.

Should 40 the holiday fall on a regularly scheduled workday for the employee with the alternate work 41 schedule and this results in a loss of pay for the week, the employee shall be given the 42 opportunity to make up hours for the loss of pay within that week. This will be done through 43 coordination with the employee’s supervisor. 44

  • Worked Holidays Employees who are required to work on the above-named holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus double their base rate for all hours worked on such holiday, plus shift differential if applicable, unless the employee starts to work at 10:00 P.M., or thereafter on that day.

  • Unworked Holidays Eligible employees shall receive pay equal to their normal work shift at their base rate in effect at the time the holiday occurs. An employee who is on the active payroll on the holiday and has worked both the last scheduled shift preceding the holiday and the first scheduled shift succeeding the holiday shall be eligible for pay for such unworked holiday. An exception to this requirement will occur if the employee(s) can furnish proof, satisfactory to the District that because of illness they were unable to work on either of such shifts, and the absence previous to such holiday, by reason of such illness, has not been longer than 30 regular workdays, and they received sick pay for the day(s) missed.

  • Designated Holidays A part-time employee shall not be paid for the designated holidays but shall, instead be paid a premium of four and one-quarter (4.25%) per cent for all straight-time hours during the period of part-time employment.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.

  • PAID HOLIDAYS 12.01 (a) A full-time employee who otherwise qualifies hereunder shall receive the following paid holidays: New Year's Day (Jan. 1st) Labour Day 3rd Monday in February Thanksgiving Day Easter Monday Remembrance Day (Nov.11th) Good Friday Christmas Day (Dec. 25th) Victoria Day Boxing Day (Dec. 26th) Canada Day (July 1st) Civic Holiday

  • Substitute Holidays The Appointing Authority may, after consultation with the Association, designate alternate days for the observance of Veterans Day and Presidents' Day.

  • Prescribed Holidays A full-time employee under this agreement is entitled to the following public holidays, without loss of pay: • New Year Day • Australia Day • Labour Day • Good Friday • Easter Saturday • Easter Monday • Anzac Day • Queen's Birthday • Melbourne Cup Day or a local equivalent • Christmas Day • Boxing Day Where in public holidays are declared or prescribed on days other than those set out above, those days will constitute additional holidays for the purpose of this agreement.

  • PLANT HOLIDAYS 6.01 All employees covered by this Agreement will receive eight (8) hours pay at their regular straight time rates for each of the following Plant Holidays (regardless of the day on which the holiday falls) in addition to any wages which they may be in receipt of for work performed on such holidays:

  • Scheduled Holidays Holidays for certain employees, typically 24/7 facilities, are pre-scheduled on days other than the holidays mentioned in Section 1. This schedule is determined in advance. If employees who have their holiday pre-scheduled are required to work on that pre-scheduled holiday day, they are compensated as follows:
