Section 8.5.2. 2 The returning employee will be assigned to the position occupied before the leave of absence.
Section 8.5.2. 12 Overtime will be considered hours worked beyond forty (40) hours per week. Overtime will be 13 paid at one and one-half (1 ½) times the employee’s regular hourly rate. Job specific overtime 14 will be offered on a weekly rotation basis and by seniority for Food and Nutrition/warehouse 15 employees. The decision to receive pay or compensatory time will be at the option of the 16 employee and meet all federal and state requirements.
Section 8.5.2. On completion of five (5) consecutive years of service, beginning with the start of the sixth 29 (6th) full year, an employee shall receive one (1) additional day paid vacation, prorated using 30 the formula in Section 8.5.1. Section 8.5.2. 36 The employee will retain accrued sick leave, vested vacation rights, and existing seniority 37 rights while on leave of absence. However, additional seniority, vacation credits and sick leave 38 shall not accrue while the employee is on leave of absence. 40 Clarified language
Section 8.5.2. 13 The employee will retain accrued sick leave, vested vacation rights, and seniority rights while 14 on leave of absence. Employee seniority shall not accrue while the employee is on leave of 15 absence; provided however, if such leave is because of an extended illness or injury, seniority 16 shall accrue. Employees hired to fill positions of employees on leave of absence will be hired 17 for the time the employee is on leave during which they shall be subject to all provisions of this 18 Agreement. It shall be the responsibility of the employer to inform replacement employees of 19 these provisions.
Section 8.5.2. 25 Sick leave may be utilized to care for a child of the employee under the age of eighteen (18) 26 with a health condition that requires treatment or supervision as required by the provisions of 27 RCW 49.78 as defined by WAC. Such leave shall not be counted against family illness leave 28 as per Section 8.5.1 of the Agreement. Furthermore, the District agrees to comply with the 29 requirements of Public Law 103-3, the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993.
Section 8.5.2. 32 Xxxx leave may be utilized to care for a child of the employee under the age of eighteen (18) 33 with a health condition that requires treatment or supervision as required by the provisions of 34 RCW 49.78 as defined by WAC. Section 8.5.2. 42 Any accrued vacation in excess of three (3) days, to a maximum of five (5) days, must be used 43 or cashed out by August 31. A maximum of five (5) days may be cashed out on August 31st. 44 Vacation cash out will be paid at the employees current rate of pay. Vacation days are prorated 45 by hire date.
Section 8.5.2. 43 The returning employee will not necessarily be assigned to the identical position occupied 44 before the leave of absence. However, provided financial conditions permit a vacancy to be 45 available and a vacancy exists for which the employee is qualified, as determined by 46 management, the employee shall be reinstated to a position equivalent in duties and salary to 47 that held at the time the request for leave of absence was approved.
Section 8.5.2. 8 The returning employee will be re-assigned to the exact position or route occupied before the 9 leave of absence, so long as a leave replacement employee occupies that position. Employees
