Selection of Candidates. The Appointments Committee shall consider all candidates for a Probationary, Tenured, Limited-Term, Externally-Funded or Visiting position and shall interview all short-listed candidates who present themselves for interview.
Selection of Candidates a) Except where appointments are made pursuant to an employment equity policy approved under Section 42 of the Human Rights Code or under the placement provisions stipulated in Article 26, selection of candidates for bargaining unit positions shall be on the basis of qualifications and on the principle that the candidate whose qualifications best meet the requirements of the position shall be selected for appointment.
b) The University shall establish an advisory selection committee to make recommendations with respect to the candidates’ qualifications for posted positions. The University will ensure that at least one PEA member, normally from the department, is a member of the advisory selection panels for PEA positions.
c) The advisory selection committee shall ensure that candidates are evaluated against the criteria established for each posted position, and that fair and appropriate procedures are established and followed in the conduct of candidate interviews and evaluation of qualifications.
d) The University recognizes that full consideration should be given to staff members who apply for posted positions. To that end, the University will interview, within reason, all qualified staff members who apply.
e) Staff members who are not selected for interviews shall be notified in writing, and shall be entitled to reasons on request.
f) The University may accept or reject any recommendation of an advisory selection committee. If the University does not accept the recommendation of the committee, it will provide reasons to the members of the committee. On request the Association shall be entitled to a copy of such reasons.
g) Where all other factors are equal, internal candidates will be preferred over external candidates.
h) Every unsuccessful internal candidate shall be informed of the name of the successful candidate.
i) No member of an advisory selection committee shall be permitted to be a candidate for the position for which the selection committee is making a recommendation.
Selection of Candidates. The University shall be responsible for the selection of qualified candidates to participate in the field experience/practicum or student teaching experience. Selected candidates must have the appropriate educational background and skills consistent with the contemplated educational experience offered by the School District.
Selection of Candidates. In order to be considered, applications must meet one (1) or more of the following qualifiers:
a) Retraining of applicant to allow for future new assignment in a needed area as determined by District priorities;
b) Studies, projects, or activities that provide the employee with opportunities to upgrade skills and knowledge for current or future assignments;
c) Complete uninterrupted studies which will benefit the employee, the District, other employees and students;
d) Other activities which will enhance the employee’s knowledge and value to the District, other employees and to students.
Selection of Candidates. Selection of a candidate for each position, whether within or from outside the District, shall be at the discretion of the school administration.
Selection of Candidates. Within [*****] days after its receipt of each report from a Party pursuant to Section 3.5(b) identifying a Compound or Xxxxxx Compound which such Party determines be Developed as a Candidate, the JSC shall (i) review such supporting data and information using standards and criteria to be developed by the JSC, and (ii) if it determines that a Candidate has been identified, notify the Parties in writing of such determination (each, a “Candidate Designation”). Upon the issuance by the JSC of a Candidate Designation for a Compound or Xxxxxx Compound, (a) such Compound or Xxxxxx Compound shall be deemed to be a Candidate for purposes of this Agreement and (b) the Parties shall, as promptly as possible, prepare and submit to the JSC for its review and, if such Candidate is a Co-Developed Product for its approval, a Development Plan with respect to the Development activities to be conducted with respect to such Candidate. For purposes of clarity, the Parties hereby acknowledge and agree that no Compound or Xxxxxx Compound may be Developed under the Development Program unless and until it is designated as a Candidate by the JSC.
Selection of Candidates. The candidates will be selected in two rounds. First, a pre-selection procedure will identify the group of applicants to be invited for the second phase consisting of a personal interview with the GERLS bi- national independent selection committee. Pre- and final selection of the candidates will be conducted according to, but not limited to following criteria: • Excellent study achievement. • Good command of languages: English language command is required, while German language command is a plus. • Scientific merits, including: A -Quality of the proposal B -The benefit to Egypt C -Preparation and feasibility of the project D -Quality of the acceptance letter
Selection of Candidates. When faculty hiring committees are initially established, at least one-half of the committee shall be comprised of bargaining unit members. If a member of the bargaining unit who is on the committee cannot continue on the committee, the remaining committee members will complete the recruitment process. Nothing herein shall be construed to limit the right of the College to exercise its sole discretion in the employment of personnel.
Selection of Candidates. Rutgers shall promote the employee in the seniority unit with the greatest Rutgers seniority from among those employees who bid and meet the posted requirements unless, as between or among such employees there is an appreciable difference in their ability to do the job or unless the senior employee does not have the ability to perform the particular job. Where the senior employee does not have the ability to perform the particular job, Rutgers shall promote the bidder with the greatest Rutgers seniority who has the ability to perform the particular job. A bidder who does not meet the posted requirements of a particular job will not be interviewed for the job. Disputes arising under this Section (1) shall be subject to the grievance and arbitration provisions of the Agreement except that when the most senior bidder has been selected, a less senior employee may not grieve. An employee thus promoted shall be placed on a ninety (90) calendar day promotional probationary period (see Article 7, #14b). If the employee is removed from the new job during the probationary period, he/she will be returned to his/her former job. Such removal shall not be subject to the grievance and arbitration procedure unless the employee is discharged.
Selection of Candidates. The Professional Development Leave Committee shall meet as needed to review, evaluate, and recommend individuals in compliance with District policy 6370. LRSA’s E-Board shall appoint three members and the District shall appoint three managers to the Professional Development Leave Committee.
5.10.6.1 The LRSA Professional Development Leave Committee responsibilities shall include the review of all applications received in a timely manner. The Committee shall develop procedures to determine which leaves shall be recommended to the Chancellor for submission to the Board of
