Special Assignment Premium. 1. The District Attorney may authorize a five (5) percent premium for Commanders and Assistant Chiefs functioning in specialty assignments which have significant responsibility for the management and coordination of countywide regional or federal programs.

Special Assignment Premium. Management, at its discretion, may assign a bargaining unit employee to serve in a designated special assignment. Special assignments consist of two types: Continuous Special Assignment and Intermittent Special Assignment. No bargaining unit member may receive more than one special assignment premium for any given hour of work. The premium shall be $0.75 per hour. The premium shall be applied to every hour worked in the case of continuous special assignments. The premium shall only be applied to hours actually engaged in the special assignments in the case of intermittent special assignments. All special assignments shall be determined by the Chief of Police and he or she will designate each assignment as continuous or intermittent.
Special Assignment Premium. Management at its discretion may assign a bargaining unit employee to serve in a designated special assignment for all or part of his or her particular shift. The bargaining unit employee will perform the duties of that special assignment for that period and will be compensated an additional $0.75 per hour for all time assigned in that role. In situations where a bargaining unit employee is performing more than one special assignment, only one premium will apply for those hours. Special assignments shall include, but shall not be limited to, Officer in Charge (OIC) (for events), Shift Commander, Field Training Officer (FTO), Bike Patrol, T3 Patrol, Crime Prevention, Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), Investigations and Instructor. Additional assignments may be eligible as determined by the Chief of Police.
Special Assignment Premium. An employee who is assigned by management in writing to be available to periodically perform duties which are clearly outside the employee’s job classification shall receive a 5% Special Assignment Premium for all hours in pay status. This premium is conditional upon the employee being assigned by management and the employee agreeing to be available to perform the assigned duties on an on-call basis. This premium is different from temporary promotion and working out of class, in that the duties are performed on an on-call, periodic basis, whereas working out of class or temporary promotion is paid when the duties of the higher class are performed on a regular ongoing basis.

  • Special Assignment Pay Assignments eligible for special assignment pay include any Officer or Sergeant assigned as an investigator or detective to the Criminal Investigations Unit, Narcotic=s Unit, a Team Detective, or any other assignment so designated by the Department Head. Limited duty assignments or assignments of less than 90 days are excluded from receiving special assignment pay. If while serving in the positions covered by this section the task/job is moved to another team/unit, the officer assigned will continue to receive special assignment pay only while performing the same job/task. Police Officer, non-uniform Sergeants and assignments receiving special assignment pay are not promotional positions. Any Police Officer or non-uniform Sergeants assigned to a position specified in this section are subject to the provisions of this contract and management rights and will, in addition to his regular salary, be paid one hundred dollars ($ 100.00) for each month he serves in that capacity. If he leaves the position without serving a full month, the pay will be allocated as follows: fifty dollars ($ 50.00) if leaving between the 1st and 15th day inclusive, and one hundred dollars ($ 100.00) if leaving between the 16th day and last day of the month inclusive. This Article does not preclude short term assignments up to ninety (90) calendar days without receiving special pay, nor does it entitle the person assigned, on a short term basis, to clothing allowance. Clothing allowance will be paid to all personnel, assigned by order and not working in uniform, during the time they are receiving special assignment pay. Assignments due to sickness, injury, or medical disability are not eligible for any benefit described in this Section.

  • Special Assignments Special assignments shall not be considered breaks in service or affect the privileges and the status of that person with the University. Any special conditions of such special assignments shall be clearly set forth in writing. They shall become binding only after having been signed by the unit member concerned and by the appropriate chancellor, or designee.

  • Additional Assignments The Contractor further agrees to, and if applicable, cause each of its employees to, execute, acknowledge, and deliver all applications, specifications, oaths, assignments, and all other instruments which the City might reasonably deem necessary in order to apply for and obtain copyright protection, mask work registration, trademark registration and/or protection, letters patent, or any similar rights in any and all countries and in order to assign and convey to the City, its successors, assigns and nominees, the sole and exclusive right, title, and interest in and to the deliverables. The Contractor’s obligations to execute, acknowledge, and deliver (or cause to be executed, acknowledged, and delivered) instruments or papers such as those described in this Paragraph 38 a., b., and c. shall continue after the termination of this Contract with respect to such deliverables. In the event the City should not seek to obtain copyright protection, mask work registration or patent protection for any of the deliverables, but should desire to keep the same secret, the Contractor agrees to treat the same as Confidential Information under the terms of Paragraph 37 above.
