Special Leaves of Absences. The School District may grant, upon recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, any other necessary leaves of absence without salary to teachers. Upon returning to the school system, the teacher shall be reinstated in the teacher's former position unless reassigned pursuant to Article X (Assignment and Reassignment). The teacher shall suffer no loss of increment or position on the salary schedule and shall advance on the schedule if the leave is granted for approved professional travel or study. While on leave, teachers, at their option, may continue any of the insurance programs at their own expense as a member of the group.

Special Leaves of Absences. Family medical leave, parental leave, military leave and other statutory leaves shall be administered as per the applicable sections of the EMPLOYER’S current Personnel Policy.
Special Leaves of Absences. (a) The Company agrees to grant leave of absence without pay when requested by the Union to do so to one employee of the Company to serve the Union as Business Agent or other full time worker. Such leave of absence is to continue for a period of one year and shall be renewed automatically with each new agreement period. Such employee’s seniority shall accumulate during his leave of absence. In the event that an employee on leave of absence returns to the Plant, he shall be reinstated in his former job or its equivalent and be given the benefit of all wage increases and other benefits which may be accrued during his absence.

  • Paid Leaves of Absence Paid leaves of absences granted under this Article shall not exceed the employee's normal work schedule.

  • Leaves of Absences 14.01 Written requests for personal leaves of absence without pay for educational or personal reasons will be considered on an individual basis by the employee’s manager or her designate. Such requests are to be submitted as far in advance as possible with a minimum notice of four (4) weeks except in cases of emergency or if the Employer determines that service needs and staffing requirements can accommodate a leave on shorter notice. A written reply will be given as soon as possible. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.
