Split Assignment. Should a teacher be given a split teaching assignment requiring the employee to travel between buildings during their work day and/or week, a meeting with the employee and principals will be held to assure that there is agreement regarding the teaching assignment and expectations. The employee may request an Association representative attend this meeting. Individuals who have a split assignment are expected to attend one set of meetings required of other staff. Those individuals who teach a curriculum and who are directed to attend a particular meeting, such as Curriculum Night, in more than one (1) building will choose to be paid at their hourly rate or receive compensatory time, as mutually agreed upon by the individual and the administrator.
Split Assignment. Teachers assigned to more than one school shall be provided at each school with a reasonable area to work and a secure place to store materials and file papers at each school site.
Split Assignment. A unit member who has been in a split assignment as defined in Article 28, § 28.8, for at least three (3) years, shall be granted the right of first refusal, if the District is able to accommodate the request, to a vacancy at a site to which the unit member is currently assigned, and in the subject the Unit member is currently teaching.
Split Assignment. A. If a split assignment between campuses is made to a unit member and that split assignment requires the unit member to travel to multiple campuses on the same day, the District will pay mileage for the total mileage traveled by the unit member between campuses, less the roundtrip mileage from the unit member’s home to the campus of their primary assignment. Primary is defined as the campus where they are assigned the majority of their load. If the load is equally split between two (2) campuses, primary will be defined as the campus where they were hired.

Split Assignment. Should a teacher be given a split teaching assignment requiring the employee to travel between buildings during their 7.5 hour workday and/or week, Human Resources Department will consult with building administrators and the employee regarding the time needed to transition between buildings including 30 minute duty free lunch, and when guaranteed planning time occurs. Meetings between impacted employee and principal shall be held by September 15. The employee may request an Association representative to attend this meeting. District and the Association will work together to define reasonable set up/clean up transition time by course type and determine consistent compensation for travel for teachers with split assignments. The District and Association will annually review the scheduled time needed to travel for split assignments. If a split assignment teacher requires set up/cleanup, they will have that time built into their schedule. Split Assignment. Assignment shall be defined as the work area, territory, work station, work shift, location, department, or job title of an employee. Section 25-D Acting status is applicable only to permanent employees who are replacing on an interim basis an employee in an existing staff allocated position at a higher classification which is vacant due to illness of incumbent, leave of absence, or due to resignation or termination of employee who held the position. Split Assignment. When a faculty member is teaching at two different colleges, either the faculty member chosen by the department or the faculty member chosen by the evaluee must be from the corresponding college (non-home college).
