Staffing Vacant Positions. In the event that the Board determines a vacancy exists or creates a new bargaining unit position, the Employer shall, within ten (10) working days, post a notice of such vacancy electronically. Such notice shall be posted for five (5) working days except during July and August, when it will be posted for seven (7) working days. The deadline for the final posting shall end no later than the Friday prior to the last full week before school starts. A copy will be provided to the Union.

Such notice shall be posted for five (5) working days except during July and August, when it will be posted for seven (7) working days. Employees who have completed their probationary period may apply for the new position or vacancy.

  • New Positions A. Each newly created position shall be assigned by the Employer to the national craft unit most appropriate for such position within thirty (30) days after its creation. Before such assignment of each new position the Employer shall consult with the Union for the purpose of assigning the new position to the national craft unit most appropriate for such position. The following criteria shall be used in making this determination:
