Notices of Vacancies. All tenured faculty members who have received a notice of retrenchment shall be provided notices of all faculty vacancies in the state university system during the three year claiming period. Such notices shall be sent no later than the time such notices are published. Such notices may be sent electronically, unless the faculty member requests notices by U.S. Mail. Affected faculty members shall provide the university human resources with an e-mail address or other acceptable electronic contact information, or mailing address, to facilitate the provision of such notices.
Notices of Vacancies. 1. A vacancy is defined for purposes of this Agreement as a position within the bargaining unit presently unfilled including newly created positions, as well as such positions currently filled but known to be open in the future for a period of more than one semester/trimester. When the vacancy overlaps two semesters/trimesters, the intent of the word “semester/trimester” is defined as the number of days in the longest semester/trimester. Positions held by temporarily certified individuals shall be posted in accordance with the teacher certification code.
2. Notices of vacancies, including administrative vacancies, shall be prominently posted as they become available in an appropriately designated place in each school or department for not less than six (6) teaching days prior to the closing date for filing applications. Any teacher who applies for a bargaining unit vacancy shall be interviewed for the position.
3. Notices of vacancies shall include academic and experience requirements, personal skills, responsibilities of the position, the date the position is to be open, and instructions for filing applications. These notices shall state the portion of the position that is scheduled to be available for the subsequent school year.
4. During a time when school is not in session:
a. Notice of vacancies shall be mailed to the address of record of all teachers who have submitted a written request by June 1 to the Assistant Superintendent for Personnel.
b. Notices of vacancies shall be posted as prescribed in Sections C.2 and C.3 of this article.
Notices of Vacancies. 6.1 Vacancies within the District will be posted on a bulletin board at each of the schools as soon as the Board approves filling the vacancy. Such notices will include a description of the position, as it is then known to be, the requirements of the position, and the place and date at which an application is to be submitted. The Board shall consider the qualifications, and experience of all applicants and, if these factors are substantially equal, will give preference to current employees in the District in filling vacancies. As long as there are no substantially qualified persons on layoff who are eligible for recall as defined in Article 10.8, Reduction-in- Force, the Board shall make the final decision in filling vacancies.
Notices of Vacancies. Notices of vacancies shall be posted on employee bulletin boards and the District’s digital public posting system (e.g. xxxxxx.xxx) for a minimum of five (5) work days. The District will make a good faith effort to notify all classified staff of vacancies by District email. The five (5) day posting requirement may be waived by mutual agreement by CSEA and the District.
Notices of Vacancies. Announcement of available vacant positions shall be made to employees affected by layoff or bumping and to the Union by notifying the Chief Xxxxxxx and bumped employees (who have not been laid off) by email, and by notifying each laid off employee by mail to the address provided by the employee to the Human Resources Department.
Notices of Vacancies. 5.2.7.1 During summer vacation and off track, notices of vacancies will be mailed to each member of the bargaining unit who has requested such notification.
5.3.6 Unit members who have voluntarily changed tracks during the school year and would be subject to loss of annual workdays shall be provided an opportunity to substitute teach sufficient days to fulfill the annual contractual obligation and thereby receive a full year of service for retirement purposes, if such days exist before the end of the fiscal year. If a change of tracks results in a longer school year than the annual contractual obligation, the unit member shall be paid per diem for all days worked over the normal contract year.
Notices of Vacancies. 6.1 Vacancies within the District will be posted on a bulletin board at each of the schools as soon as the Board approves filling the vacancy. Such notices will include a description of the position, as it is then known to be, the requirements of the position, and the place and date at which an application is to be submitted. As long as there are no substantially qualified persons on layoff who are eligible for recall as defined in the Board Policy GCPA, Reduction-in-Force, the Board shall make the final decision in filling vacancies.
Notices of Vacancies. 7.2.1 Notices of vacancies shall be posted for a minimum of ten (10) calendar days before the interview process begins.
7.2.2 Notices of vacancies shall be posted on the District website, and transmitted to unit members via District email. All notices of vacancies shall be posted at appropriate site locations throughout the District. Extra-duty assignment vacancies shall only be emailed to unit members at the site of the vacancy unless such extra-duty could reasonably be performed by a unit member employed at another District site.
7.2.3 All notices of vacancies shall contain the following information:
(a) Location;
(b) Job description;
(c) Duration of job; and
(d) Minimum qualifications.
7.2.4 Notification provisions shall be waived in the event of an emergency as defined in Section 7.1.4.
Notices of Vacancies. All tenured faculty members who have received a notice of retrenchment shall notify the System office of up to three academic areas in which they may be qualified to serve. The choice of areas shall be from the list contained in Appendix B of this Agreement. Subsequently, they shall receive copies of all vacancy notices for faculty positions, in departments or programs in those academic areas, which will be included in the IFO unit when filled unless they request in writing not to receive them. This notification of academic areas can be updated annually, with the possibility of adding one area, within fifteen (15) days of the anniversary of his/her notice of retrenchment.
Notices of Vacancies. 17.1 The Board agrees to post notices of vacancies within the District on a bulletin board at each of the schools as well as on electronic bulletin boards in the “staff only” section on the SAU 41 website as soon as the existence of such vacancies is known. Such notices will include a description of the position, as it is then known to be, the requirements of the position, and the place and date at which an application is to be submitted. Staff Members shall be given equal opportunity to apply for any job vacancy within the District. The Superintendent shall make the final decision in any event.
17.2 The posting period shall be four (4) calendar days, including two (2) school days, during the normal school year and ten (10) calendar days during the summer recess. Exceptions to the posting period may be made for emergency situations with the written agreement of the building principal and an official representative of the Association.
