Supplementary Hours. The agreed number of supplementary hours referred to in sub-clause 9.1 above, which are in addition to the hours required by the attached rosters and have been factored into the salaries, are as follows: Shift Operators & Shift Electricians 104.6 hours p.a. Operations Support Workers (Casting) 192.0 hours p.a. Operations Support Workers (Electrolysis) 17.0 hours p.a. Operations Support Workers (Leaching/Purification) 0 hours p.a. Operations Support Workers (Roasting/Sulphuric Acid) 96.0 hours p.a. Operations Support Workers (Cadmium Packaging) 12.0 hours p.a. Mechanical Maintenance Trades-Persons 0 hours p.a. Electrical Maintenance Trades-Persons (A) 0 hours p.a. Electrical Maintenance Trades-Persons (B) 96.0 hours p.a. Supplementary hours for Shift Operators and Shift Electricians are made up of shift handover (at 15 minutes pre-start for each working shift), training days (at an eight hour training day every eight weeks) and 12 hrs for additional overtime. For day workers the supplementary hours will cover completion of work after rostered hours, call-ins, breakdowns and training as directed. Employees can be required to work at least the number of supplementary hours relevant to their classification. It is a condition of employment that employees be available to cover for other workers in case of their unexpected or approved absence.
Supplementary Hours. As a SVP and due to this job level, there will be no compensation for overtime either in the form of payment or time off in lieu.
Supplementary Hours. 32.4.1 A Full Time employee may be required to work up to a maximum number of supplementary hours each roster. An employee working a fortnightly roster may be required to work up to 8 supplementary hours per fortnightly cycle. An employee working a four-weekly roster may be required to work up to 16 supplementary hours over a four weekly cycle. Supplementary hours are exclusive of ordinary hours and overtime worked.
32.4.2 Supplementary hours must not be systematically rostered and are for the purposes of accommodating unexpected or unpredictable work demands. Supplementary hours must only be worked contiguous with an ordinary rostered shift immediately prior to the rostered commencement time of ordinary hours, or immediately following the rostered cessation time of ordinary hours (i.e for the purposes of “starting earlier” or “staying back later”, on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday).
32.4.3 Supplementary hours do not form part of an employee’s regular roster pattern.
32.4.4 The total combination of supplementary and ordinary hours must not exceed ten hours on any weekday.
32.4.5 The only circumstances where supplementary hours can be worked upon a weekend day is where a Friday shift extends onto the contiguous Saturday. In these circumstances at least half of, or the majority of an employee’s ordinary hours must fall on the Friday.
32.4.6 As much notice as possible must be given of a requirement, or potential to work supplementary hours and the employer and an employee must take account of the operational needs of the business and the personal circumstances of the employee when arranging supplementary hours.
32.4.7 Supplementary hours are paid at the loaded rate of pay applicable to ordinary hours.
Supplementary Hours. Any overtime hours in excess of his regular shift will be remunerated with his manager's or team's approval, where applicable.
