Teachers on Special Assignment (TOSAs. 20-3-1. A teacher on special assignment (XXXX) is a teacher who is temporarily on leave from a building in order to carry out a special assignment in TSD or at the BOCES. 20-3-2. After an assignment of one or two years, a TOSA will be able to return to the same or comparable position within the same school building, if he/she so requests. Beyond a two-year assignment, the TOSA will be able to return to a comparable position with TSD but not necessarily at the same level (elementary, middle school, high school) or the original building.

Teachers on Special Assignment (TOSAs. From time to time, to meet the educational needs of the District, the District may create certificated bargaining unit positions that can serve the greater need of our students, staff and district. The positions will herein be referred to as Teachers on Special Assignment (TOSAs). 9.5.3.1 TOSA job descriptions(s) shall be developed jointly by a committee determined by the Association President and District Superintendent or their designees. Once a proposal is mutually agreed upon, the committee shall forward the proposal to the bargaining teams to negotiate a tentative agreement to be ratified by the association and District 9.5.3.2 Salary classification will be specified in the board-approved job description and noted in Article 24 of this contract and on the salary schedule of this contract (Appendix B). 9.5.3.3 Number of contract days for each TOSA position will be noted in the job description. By August 15 of each school year, the TOSA will submit to the District a planned calendar of work days covering the number of contract days for the year. If needs change or arise, the TOSA may exchange a date with permission of a supervisor. 9.5.3.4 TOSAs shall not be defined as teachers on leave. Temporary positions may not be attached to TOSAs unless the funding for the TOSA position is restricted funding. TOSA positions funded by LCAP/General Fund will be filled by a probationary or permanent certificated member. 9.5.3.5 Because of their specialized training and experience, TOSA positions will have a term assignment of two years so long as the TOSA position exists. When the term assignment expires, the TOSA position may be reopened and posted, or eliminated at the sole discretion of the District. The District and NJUHSTA may, at that time, have the opportunity to jointly review both the need for each TOSA position and its corresponding job description. A unit member may reapply for their previously-held TOSA position. It is the District’s intent to notify employees in a TOSA position by January 10th whether or not the position will be eliminated in the following year.

  • Special Assignment A voluntary, temporary assignment of a bargaining unit employee to duties other than those of his/her position of record that is: a. More than twenty percent (20%) of the bargaining unit employee's scheduled work hours; and for more than thirty (30) calendar days in duration. b. Service on advisory councils/committees are not considered special assignments. Additionally, any deployment of security personnel for security-related duties and functions (e.g., ATLAS, VIPR) is excluded and not considered a special assignment.

If and for so long as required by the Purchase Agreement, this Warrant shall contain the legends as set forth in Section 4.2(a) of the Purchase Agreement.

  • Special Assignments Special assignments shall not be considered breaks in service or affect the privileges and the status of that person with the University. Any special conditions of such special assignments shall be clearly set forth in writing. They shall become binding only after having been signed by the unit member concerned and by the appropriate chancellor, or designee.

  • Assignment to Owners Interconnection Customer may assign the Interconnection Service Agreement without the Interconnected Transmission Owner’s or Transmission Provider’s prior consent to any Affiliate or person that purchases or otherwise acquires, directly or indirectly, all or substantially all of the Customer Facility and the Customer Interconnection Facilities, provided that prior to the effective date of any such assignment, the assignee shall demonstrate that, as of the effective date of the assignment, the assignee has the technical and operational competence to comply with the requirements of this Interconnection Service Agreement and assumes in a writing provided to the Interconnected Transmission Owner and Transmission Provider all rights, duties, and obligations of Interconnection Customer arising under this Interconnection Service Agreement. However, any assignment described herein shall not relieve or discharge the Interconnection Customer from any of its obligations hereunder absent the written consent of the Transmission Provider, such consent not to be unreasonably withheld, conditioned or delayed.

  • TEACHER ASSIGNMENT A. No later than thirty (30) days prior to the end of the school year, all teachers shall be given an opportunity to voluntarily fill out preference sheets indicating their preferences, in order of priority, of grade level and type of program on that grade level, with the understanding that where reasonably possible such preferences will be honored. B. Not later than the last work day for teachers in June all teachers shall be given written notice of their assignments for the forthcoming year. Teachers shall be given an opportunity to discuss their assignments with their Principals. If the Principal proposes changes to the assignment which may include transfer to another school, all teachers affected shall be notified promptly. Changes in teachers’ assignments later than the fifteenth day of August preceding the commencement of the school year shall be made only in an emergency situation. An emergency situation shall be defined as provided for in Article I, Section 1.5. C. No change in assignment during the school year shall be made without ten (10) school days notice and discussion prior to the change. D. Any assignment in addition to or in lieu of the normal teaching schedule, during the regular school year, shall not be obligatory but shall be with the consent of the teacher. Such assignments will be given to teachers regularly employed in the school system on a rotating basis.
