Salary Classification. 7.1 It is agreed that the level to be paid each Resident shall be the responsibility of the Associate Xxxx, Postgraduate Medical Education, College of Medicine, acting on the recommendation of the appropriate Program Director. The classification for remuneration of Residents shall conform with the level of their approved training as recognized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or the College of Family Physicians of Canada. 7.2 A Resident who transfers into another program shall receive credit for previous training in terms of the number of completed years of approved training according to the requirements and regulations of the program to which he/she is transferring as defined by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or the College of Family Physicians of Canada. 7.3 Subject to the considerations established in Article 7.1 and 7.2, remuneration levels for Residents will be defined as follows: 7.3.1 Postgraduate Year 1 refers to medical graduates in the first year of a program as determined by the College of Family Physicians of Canada or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. 7.3.2 Postgraduate Year 2 refers to all residents in the second year of a program as determined by the College of Family Physicians of Canada or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. 7.3.3 Postgraduate Year 3 refers to all residents in the third year of a program as determined by the College of Family Physicians of Canada or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. 7.3.4 Postgraduate Year 4 refers to all residents in the fourth year of a program as determined by the College of Family Physicians of Canada or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. 7.3.5 Postgraduate Year 5 refers to all residents in the fifth year of a program as determined by the College of Family Physicians of Canada or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. 7.3.6 Postgraduate Year 6 refers to all residents in the sixth year of a program as determined by the College of Family Physicians of Canada or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. 7.4 Residents may not be reclassified to a lower pay level during an appointment without just cause. 7.5 Residents shall advance at least one (1) pay level for each successfully completed postgraduate training year, subject to the provisions of Articles 7.1 and 7.2.

After the Participation Act has entered into force, employees in the category of "persons with an occupational impairment", as referred to in the Act, are classified in salary scale 1, step 0 or in the salary scale and on the salary step that correspond with the work that these employees will perform.

Salary Classification. 26.1: While employed by the City, each regular full-time and part-time employee is designated as being in a salary classification corresponding to his or her particular position. Salary Classification. 2 7.1 Every bargaining unit position shall be placed on a class, which is determined by 3 the duties outlined in the job description. Each class is assigned a salary range. The 4 District shall notify the Association of any new salary classifications. If the Association 5 does not agree with the proposed salary range, it must request to meet and consult on 6 the salary recommendation within ten (10) days of receipt of the District notice. If there is 7 no written response, the District may proceed. If the parties cannot agree, thereupon, 8 either party or both parties may petition PERB for a declaration of impasse. The 9 assignment of salary range to a class shall be known as a "salary classification". A new 11 education directly related to his/her job assignment is of sufficient value to warrant 12 assignment to a higher increment step of the Schedule as determined by the Assistant 13 Superintendent, Human Resources. 14 7.2 Salary Reassignment - Reassignment to a different classified position as a result 15 of one of the following factors may result in placement at a higher or lower salary range. 16 7.2.1 - Unit member initiated placement in a position at a higher salary 20 7.2.2 - Unit member initiated placement in a position at a lower salary 23 7.2.3 - Placement of unit member to a lower salary classification - The unit 24 member shall continue at his/her former salary rate for a period of one (1) year.
Salary Classification. 46.1 Commitments made by the Board or its predecessors to individual Teachers as to the number of years of teaching experience shall be honoured. No Teacher in the employ of the Board on August 31, 1999 shall have an allowance for experience agreed by the Board or its predecessors decreased or increased as a result of the implementation of this article except where teaching experience accumulates while in the employ of the Board and in accordance with this Collective Agreement. 46.1.1 Notwithstanding Article 46.1, effective September 1, 2000, and each 1 September following that date, where the calculation of teaching experience results in partial years, fractional years of .5 or greater shall be rounded up and less than .5 shall be rounded down. 46.1.2 For the purposes of Salary grid placement, category definitions shall be the current definitions used by the OSSTF Certification Board. The aforementioned certification rating statement shall be used to pay each Teacher. 46.2 It shall be incumbent upon the Teacher to provide the Board with documented proof in the form of the Certification Rating Statement from the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation as to his/her appropriate category placement in accordance with the provisions of this Collective Agreement. 46.3 All Teachers teaching on Letters of Permission or Temporary Secondary School Certificates shall be paid in Category 1. 46.4 A Teacher employed on a Letter of Standing issued by the Ontario College of Teachers shall be paid according to an OSSTF Letter of Evaluation issued by the OSSTF Certification Board, until such time as an official OSSTF Rating Statement is issued in accordance with this Collective Agreement. 46.5 The salary or allowance paid to the members specified in Article 46.1.1 shall be a salary or allowance provided for in this Collective Agreement. 46.6 When a Teacher qualifies for a higher category as a result of improved qualifications, the adjustment will be back-dated to 1 September, provided that the OSSTF Rating Statement, or notification of the application for same, is received by the Superintendent of Human Resources prior to 10 December of the school year. In such cases, the qualifying work must have been completed prior to 1 September of that school year. 46.6.1 When such notification is submitted later than 10 December, adjustment shall be made as of 1 January in that school year. 46.6.2 When a Teacher qualifies for a higher category as a result of improved qualificat...
Salary Classification. Salary classification for the year shall be based on the degree of training on September 1 with the following exception: Additional graduate credits earned during the year which cause a change in lane or degree status on the Master Agreement shall be credited to the teacher on September 10, January 10, and May 10 after receipt of official transcript of said change. Teachers who change classification will move horizontally on the salary schedule.
