TEACHING PERIOD. A. Every possible effort shall be made in scheduling to give elementary teachers at least one unassigned 40-minute period for preparation per day. When scheduling makes it impossible to provide a 40-minute preparation period per day, a teacher’s preparation time shall be scheduled and arranged as equitably and evenly as possible to assure that a teacher be assigned no less than 200 minutes of preparation time per week. When a teacher in a special area is in charge of an elementary teacher’s class, the regular teacher may leave the classroom. Upon request of the administrator, to assure that the educational process will be served, the teacher shall remain. All elementary teachers will be assigned between 20-30 hours of non-instructional duty (recess) per year.

TEACHING PERIOD. Each elementary teacher, classroom, and special area, shall be afforded two (2) personal breaks of fifteen (15) minutes in length daily, one (1) each, during the morning and afternoon sessions. Each elementary classroom teacher shall be scheduled for two hundred and five (205) minutes of duty-free planning time per week in blocks of not less than thirty (30) minutes. Each teacher shall be scheduled for at least one (1) duty-free planning period per day. The planning period shall be in lieu of the personal break for that half-day. In scheduling special teachers, principals shall seek to schedule grades K through 2 at other than the beginning and end of each session. Physical education teachers shall teach no more than five (5) hours during the day.

  • TEACHING HOURS AND TEACHING LOAD A. As professionals, teachers are expected to devote to their assignments the time necessary to meet their responsibilities, but they shall not be required to “clock in or clock out” by hours and minutes. Teachers shall indicate their presence for duty by placing their signature and time in the proper column of the faculty “sign-in” roster.

  • Teaching Load Full teaching assignments shall normally include 12 course credit hours of scheduled teaching per academic quarter. A reassignment of duty, for the equivalent of 3 or 4 credit course, shall be provided during one term of the first academic year to all newly hired tenure track faculty to further their teaching, scholarship and service and to encourage faculty retention. Wherever possible the University will endeavor to arrange teaching schedules that avoid excessive numbers of preparations and recognize evening and/or off-campus assignments. Class sizes will be established and monitored by the appropriate academic xxxx in consultation with division chairs and affected faculty each term. The following equivalencies will be used in determining teaching assignments:

  • Teaching Loads The range of teaching loads, number of preparations and number of pupil contacts required should provide for effective instruction and meaningful teacher-student interaction. DPS and the Association agree to work together to seek increased state funding to decrease class size. The principal shall report to the CSC, after the roster verification process, the number of students in each class and this will be published in the CSC minutes on the school’s website. For the purposes of this section, a “class” shall be defined as any general education, including electives and model one classes. Upon request, after the roster verification process, the District shall provide the Association with the student information management system data regarding class enrollment.

  • Training Period The training provided for in this article shall be given during the hours of work whenever possible. Any such training outside of working hours shall be considered voluntary unless at the request of the Employer, in which case time devoted to training shall be considered as time worked.

  • TEACHING HOURS A. The teacher’s normal teaching hours in the secondary and elementary schools shall be as follows:

  • Planning Period  Middle and High School teachers shall have one normal instructional period each day as preparation time or a cumulative plan time each week that would be equal to 160 minutes per four

  • INTEREST IN TEACHING PUPILS The certificated classroom teacher demonstrates an 29 understanding of and commitment to each pupil, taking into account each individual's unique 30 background and characteristics. The certificated classroom teacher demonstrates enthusiasm for or 31 enjoyment in working with pupils.

  • Teaching Schedule Teaching schedules shall be established, if practicable, so that the time between the beginning of the first assignment and the end of the last for any one day does not exceed eight (8) hours.

  • PERIOD OF SERVICE The Consultant shall complete the Services on or before December 31, 2019 (the “Deadline”), unless the Authority agrees to extend the Deadline for good reason; provided, however, that the Authority may terminate this Contract at any time in accordance with Section 14. Time is of the essence in performance of this Contract. There will be no obligation established between Authority and the Consultant for performance of the Services until Authority provides the Consultant execution of this Contract and receipt by the Authority of appropriate Certificates of Insurance and other documentation as may be required herein. The term of this Contract (“Term”) shall begin on the Effective Date and shall end on the first to occur of the following: (1) the Deadline, as the same may have been extended by the Authority, (2) the date on which, in the opinion of Authority, all of the Services have been rendered, (3) the date on which this Contract is terminated by the Authority pursuant to Section 14, or (4) the date on which this Contract is terminated by the Consultant pursuant to Section 14.

  • Billing Period The calendar month shall be the standard period for all charges and payments under this Agreement. On or before the fifteenth (15th) day following the end of each month, Seller shall render to Buyer an invoice for the payment obligations incurred hereunder during the preceding month, based on the Energy Delivered in the preceding month, and any RECs deposited in Buyer’s GIS account or a GIS account designated by Buyer to Seller in writing in the preceding month. Such invoice shall contain supporting detail for all charges reflected on the invoice, and Seller shall provide Buyer with additional supporting documentation and information as Buyer may request.
