Ten Hour Break Rule. Employees in at Xxxxxxxxx Medical Center who are assigned to work a second shift without a ten (10) hour break between shifts shall be paid a premium rate equal to one and one-half (1-1/2) times the appropriate rate of pay as determined in accordance with the standards set forth in the Overtime Article for the hours worked in the second shift. The ten (10) hour break rule shall not apply to: a) hours worked on Call-Back when an employee has been on standby duty under the provisions of the Call-Back Xxxxxxxxx Medical Center Article above; b) hours worked on an employee's regular shift in cases where the additional time worked prior to the regular shift was for three (3) hours or less.

Ten Hour Break Rule. 41.1 Should an employee receive more than two call-outs of less than two hours duration between the hours of 10.00pm and 5.00am or a call-out of more than two hours duration between the hours of 9.00pm and 2.00am, then the 10-hour break rule shall apply.

  • Winter Break The Resident may apply to occupy a Room during the Winter Break period as detailed in Table 2. Winter Break applications will be made available to Residents by the Manager. Applications are due on or before December 1 at 5:00 p.m. If the Resident’s application is approved, they may be required to pay a small fee (detailed in Table 2) for Winter Break occupancy before the beginning of the Winter Break. During the Winter Break there is limited supervision of the Residence, all services are reduced or suspended, and annual maintenance and renovations may occur. To ensure the safety and security of the Resident and the Residence facilities it is the intention of the Manager to limit the number of Residents staying during the Winter Break to a small number of individuals that demonstrate a significant need for Residence accommodations. If the Resident is found occupying a Room during the Winter Break without having given written notice to the Manager, the Resident shall be subject to $30.00 for each day during the Winter Break period or $200.00 for the entire Winter Break, due immediately.   • Unusual Job Requirements of Short Duration ‌ The nature of health care is such that at times it may be necessary for an employee to perform work not normally required in his/her job for the safety, health or comfort of a client or resident. It is understood that an employee shall not be expected to perform a task for which he/she is not adequately trained.

  • Twelve Hour Shifts Employees shall be entitled, subject to exigencies of patient care and/or departmental requirements, to rest periods during the shift of a total of forty-five (45) minutes.

  • Medicaid-Funded Hours Worked Effective July 1, 2021, the Employer shall contribute the Retirement Rate or eighty cents ($0.80), whichever is higher, to the Retirement Trust for each Medicaid-Funded Hour worked by all home care workers covered by this Agreement with seven-hundred and one (701) or more cumulative career hours and fifty cents ($0.50) for each hour worked by all home care workers covered by this Agreement with less than seven-hundred one (701) cumulative career hours. Medicaid- Funded Hour(s) worked shall be defined as all hours worked by all employees covered by this Agreement in the Employer's in-home care program that are paid by Medicaid, excluding vacation hours, paid-time off hours, and training hours.

  • Holiday Worked In addition to Subsection A above, employees will be compensated for the hours actually worked on a holiday at the overtime rate, in accordance with Article 17, Overtime.

  • Religious Observance Leave Temporary, contract and regular faculty may be granted a leave with pay for special religious observances of the employee's faith falling on a regular workday.

  • Work Hour Penalty Eight hours of labor constitute a legal day's work, and forty hours constitute a legal week's work. Pursuant to Section 1813 of the Labor Code of the State of California, the Contractor shall forfeit to the County Twenty Five Dollars ($25) for each worker employed in the execution of this Contract by the Contractor or by any subcontractor for each calendar day during which such worker is required or permitted to work more than the legal day's or week's work, except that work performed by employees of said Contractor and subcontractors in excess of the legal limit shall be permitted without the foregoing penalty upon the payment of compensation to the workers for all hours worked in excess of eight hours per day of not less than 1-1/2 times the basic rate of pay.

  • Non-Medicaid-Funded Hours Worked Effective July 1, 2021, the Employer shall contribute the Healthcare Rate or three dollars and seventy-nine cents ($3.79), whichever is higher to the Trust for each Non-Medicaid- Funded hour worked. Non-Medicaid-Funded Hour(s) worked shall be defined as all hours worked by all employees covered by this Agreement in the Employer's in‐home care program that are paid by a payor other than Medicaid, excluding vacation hours, paid-time off, and training hours. Effective July 1 2022, the Employer shall contribute the Healthcare rate or three dollars and ninety-eight cents ($3.98), whichever is higher, to the Trust for each Non-Medicaid-Funded Hour worked. Contributions required by Section 21.2 shall be paid periodically as required by the Trust.

  • Tea Breaks (a) Every employee will be entitled to a paid 10 minute tea break in each four hours worked at a time to be agreed between the employee and employer.

  • Leave of Absence for Full-Time Union or Public Duties An employee who is elected or selected for a full-time position with the Union or anybody with which the Union is affiliated, or who is elected to public office, shall be granted leave of absence without pay and without loss of seniority.
