TIME OFF AND LEAVE. The provisions of this Article shall not apply to any Postdoctoral Scholar appointed on a grant or contract that restricts the Postdoctoral Scholar’s time off or leave or requires time off or leave to comply with the specific conditions of the grant or contract. Similarly, if a grant or contract provides more generous leave and time off benefits than the Agreement, the Postdoctoral Scholar shall be entitled to the benefits in the contract or grant. The provisions of this Article shall supersede any other leave benefits that apply to Postdoctoral Scholars with a dual faculty appointment.

TIME OFF AND LEAVE. 5.1 The SPONSOR shall allocate to the APPRENTICE time-off for the purpose of school-based learning, which shall include days when the APPRENTICE has to attend any form of assessment at the MCAST. The MCAST shall endeavour to as far as possible not schedule assessment on days when the APPRENTICE is due to attend at the place of work.
5.2 The APPRENTICE shall be entitled to four (4) days of unpaid study leave to be utilised during assessment periods upon presentation of the official MCAST timetable.
5.3 The APPRENTICE shall be entitled to paid leave on a pro-rata basis, which leave shall include but is not limited to: normal vacation leave and sick leave. In this regard, the laws and regulations in relation to leave, and particularly the provisions of the Employment and Industrial Relations Act (Chapter 452 of the Laws of Malta), shall apply. Provided that the SPONSOR shall not deduct any leave on any day during which the learner shall be required to attend school-based learning as part of the training programme.
5.4 The SPONSOR shall keep record of APPRENTICES vacation leave / sick leave / study leave availed of.
6.1 The APPRENTICE shall demonstrate honesty, punctuality, courtesy, a cooperative attitude, proper health and grooming habits, appropriate dress and a willingness to learn.
6.2 The APPRENTICE shall obey the policies, rules and regulations of the SPONSOR, which shall include but are not limited to collective agreements, plant agreements or service agreement applicable to the training relationship, which shall be made available to the APPRENTICE, and comply with the SPONSOR’s business practices and procedures.

TIME OFF AND LEAVE. During the Term, the Employee shall be entitled to the greater of twenty-three (23) select days per year and the maximum allowed under the Corporation’s select time program. Select days are used for vacation, personal time and sick time. In addition, the Employee will receive paid company holidays each year in accordance with the Corporation’s standard policy (seven holidays as of the Effective Date). The employee shall also be eligible for such other leave, with or without compensation, as shall be mutually agreed upon by the Employee and the Committee.
TIME OFF AND LEAVE. It is the employee’s responsibility to schedule the Personal Holiday before December 31st. If not requested it is forfeited.
TIME OFF AND LEAVE. Employees are encouraged to consult with their Leave Specialist, Unit HR Manager, or HR Consultant regarding shared leave and other time off options in instances where balances are low.

TIME OFF AND LEAVE. (a) Time off and leave (vacation, parental, sick, and other leave(s) for fellows) shall be administered in accordance with the Program Policies and GME Policies and Guidelines, in compliance with applicable laws; the Fellowship Program shall give the Fellow timely notice, upon each leave request, of the effect of leave(s) on the ability of the Fellow to satisfy requirements for Fellowship Program completion (also see relevant Program Policy for specific details);
(b) Fellow may be entitled to up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave, in accordance with state and federal leave law, for personal illness or family matters. Fellow may be entitled to unpaid leave in addition to 12 weeks in accordance with Program Policies and GME Policies and Guidelines.
