Tow Trucks. A. An operator shall equip and maintain a minimum of two (2) tow trucks covered under this agreement in accordance with the provisions set forth in the California Vehicle Code, Title 13 of the California Code of Regulations, the specifications contained in this Agreement, and consistent with industry standards and practices. 1) Every company shall have the ability to tow any vehicle requested by the VPD. These vehicles include, but are not limited to passenger vehicles, trailers, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, travel trailers, motor homes, motor trucks, truck tractors and other vehicles that a tow company will encounter when towing on a city agreement. These vehicles may need towing via trailer hitch, dolly or other regular means of towing. a) If for any reason the operator lacks a tow truck capable of towing a requested vehicle, it shall be the operator’s responsibility to hire a subcontractor to complete the initial tow to their storage yard. 2) All tow trucks shall have a carrier identification number in accordance with Vehicle Code Section 2436.3 and shall have a current California Highway Patrol inspection sticker on the front windshield. Tow Company shall forward a copy of the tow truck inspection conducted by the CHP for each tow truck used on rotation. 3) The tow company name, address, phone number, and truck identification number shall be on both sides of each tow truck and clearly legible from at least 100 ft.

Tow Trucks. Tow truck shall be Colorado licensed, including Public Utility Commission licenses, and be an insured Class A tow truck with a minimum gross vehicle rating of 10,000 pounds, dual wheel chassis and four (4) ton recovery equipment rating. Flatbed "roll back” service trucks may be used in-lieu-of boom type wrecker trucks. Flatbed trucks must be equivalent in capacity to specified boom type trucks (excluding vertical lift) to safely handle the scope of work.
Tow Trucks a. Contractor shall equip and maintain a minimum of six (6), Class A light duty, 11,000 to 25,500 GVWR manufacturer rated tow trucks with recovery and wheel lift capabilities. The main winch (es) shall be hydraulically driven and shall have a minimum manufacturer rating of four (4) tons at the bare drum, with a minimum of one hundred feet (100') of industry standard wire rope. Wheel lift units shall be rated at a minimum capacity of 4,000 lb. and a recovery boom capacity of eight (8) tons b. Each such class A tow truck shall be equipped with a snatch block, self loading dollies, 2.5 ton floor xxxx, j/t hook chain assemblies, and a vehicle lockout kit. c. Contractor shall maintain a minimum of two (2) car carrier tow trucks with manufacturer rated minimum of 15,000 lbs. GVWR. The main winch(es) shall be hydraulically driven and shall have a minimum manufacturer rating of four (4) tons at the bare drum, with a minimum of fifty feet (50') of industry standard wire rope. Car carrier bed load ratings shall be minimum of 10,000 lbs. d. Contractor shall maintain a minimum of one (1), Class B medium duty, 25,501 to 33,000 GVWR manufacturer rated tow truck equipped with air brakes and have air hook-up capability at the rear. Tow truck must have wheel lift capacity of minimum 6000 lbs. and a recovery boom capacity of fourteen (14) tons. The main winches shall be hydraulically driven and shall have a minimum manufacturers rating of seven and a half (7.5) tons at bare drum, with a minimum of one hundred fifty feet (150') of industry standard wire rope. e. Each such class B tow truck shall be equipped with dual winches, two (2) snatch blocks, air hoses and fittings, lift/fork adapters, and medium duty tow/hook chain assemblies. f. In lieu of maintaining one (1) truck as specified in subsection (d), Contractor may maintain two (2) of those types of trucks specified in subsection (g). g. Contractor shall maintain a minimum of one (1) three (3) axle Class C heavy duty, tow truck with a minimum of 50,000 GVWR manufacturer rating measuring no less than one hundred fifty six inches (156") CA, (cab to axle) measured to the middle to the tandems. The main winches shall be hydraulically driven and shall have a minimum manufacturers rating of twenty five (25) tons at bare drum, with a minimum of two hundred feet (200') of industry standard wire rope. Tow Trucks. TOW COMPANY shall maintain all applicable and valid permits for each tow truck in service. TOW COMPANY must maintain documentation on file that demonstrates that all tow trucks in its fleet have passed a California Highway Patrol (“CHP”) tow truck safety inspection in the last twelve months. Copies of the inspection sheets must be provided to the CITY within five days of the inspection. a. Tow trucks not passing inspections or meeting the requirements of this Agreement will immediately be removed from Rotation. Tow trucks will return to Rotation once they have passed a re-inspection by the original inspecting agency. b. TOW COMPANY must own and operate a minimum of five trucks including: 1. Two Class A Wheel lifts rated at 14,500 Gross Vehicle Weight (“GVW”) with twin cable hydraulic boom rated at one ton or greater; 2. Two Rollback rated at 19,501 GVW; 3. One Medium Duty Wheel lift with a GVWR of at least 33,000 pounds with twin cable hydraulic boom rated at one ton or greater. The truck shall be equipped with air brakes and a tractor protection valve or device, and be capable of providing and maintaining continuous air to the towed vehicle. All Class B tow trucks with a GVWR of less than 33,000 pounds currently approved by CHP and owned by the same TOW COMPANY shall remain on the rotation tow list until June 30, 2026; 4. TOW COMPANY may maintain a three-axle tow truck with a GVWR of at least 52,000 pounds. The truck shall be equipped with air brakes and must be capable of providing and maintaining continuous air to the towed vehicle; 5. Tow trucks demonstrating a functional equivalency to any or all of the requirements listed above may be substituted upon receipt of written approval by CITY. c. Each truck shall have a maximum 8,000 pound capacity winch that is power driven by power takeoff from transmission, in both directions, and equipped with safety dogs or an adequate braking system. Winches must be fitted with a minimum of 100 feet of cable for recovery tasks. Roll back car carriers must be fitted with a minimum of 50 feet of cable; d. Each truck shall be equipped with lighting systems as required by California Vehicle Code (“CVC”) Sections 24605, 24606 and 25253. Additionally, trucks shall be equipped with utility lamp lighting systems that comply with CVC Section 25110; e. Tow Trucks. A. The Towing Agency must own or possess at least four (4) operating tow trucks on a year-round basis, which trucks must be capable of performing all work under this Agreement. 1. A tow truck is herein defined: A motor vehicle which has been designed, manufactured, equipped for and used in the business of towing other vehicles by hoist, tow-bar, tow-line, or dolly or is otherwise used to render assistance to other vehicles by crane or winch, special tools, or special electrical and hydraulic connections. 2. a. Tow truck chassis shall be manufacturer's rated three-quarter (3/4) ton capacity, four (4) wheel drive and/or manufacturer's rated one (1) ton capacity, two (2) wheel drive with dual rear wheels.

  • Loading RPMG shall schedule the loading and shipping of all outbound corn oil purchased hereunder, but all labor and equipment necessary to load trucks and rail cars and other associated costs shall be supplied and borne by Producer without charge to RPMG. Producer shall handle the corn oil in a good and workmanlike manner in accordance with RPMG’s written requirements and normal industry practice. Producer shall maintain the truck and rail loading facilities in safe operating condition in accordance with normal industry standards and shall visually inspect all trucks and rail cars to assure (i) cleanliness so as to avoid contamination, and (ii) that such trucks and railcars are in a condition suitable for transporting the corn oil. RPMG and RPMG’s agents shall have adequate access to the Ethanol Facility to load Producer’s corn oil on an industry standard basis that allows RPMG to economically market Producer’s corn oil. RPMG’s employees shall follow all reasonable safety rules and procedures promulgated by Producer and provided to RPMG reasonably in advance and in writing. Producer shall supply product description tags, certificates of analysis, bills of lading and/or material safety data sheets that are applicable to all shipments. In the event that Producer fails to provide the labor, equipment and facilities necessary to meet RPMG’s loading schedule, Producer shall be responsible for all costs and expenses, including without limitation actual demurrage and wait time, incurred by RPMG resulting from or arising in connection with Producer’s failure to do so.

  • Fuel The Vehicle must be returned with the amount of fuel equal to that at the time of the commencement of the rental. If the Vehicle is returned with less fuel, the difference will be charged to You at a rate of $5.00 per litre (which includes a service component).

  • Manufacturers Promptly after obtaining actual knowledge thereof, notice of any Manufacturer Event of Default or termination or replacement of a Manufacturer Program;
