Traditional Holidays. The following traditional holidays shall be recognized under this Agreement: New Year's Day- January 1 President's Day - Third Monday in February Memorial Day - Last Monday in May Independence Day - July 4 Labor Day - First Monday in September Thanksgiving Day - 4th Thursday in November Christmas Day - December 25 If an eligible nurse scheduled to work on a traditional holiday desires the day off, the nurse must request the time off and, if approved, must record the appropriate number of PTO hours on the timecard.

Traditional Holidays. The days on which New Years Day, Australia Day, Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Labour Day, Queen's Birthday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day are observed shall be holidays and employees not required to work shall be entitled to payment for the shift at the classified rate for the aforesaid holidays, but not for Easter Saturday except where that day forms part of the roster.

If an eligible employee scheduled to work on a traditional holiday desires the day off, the employee must request the time off and, if approved, must record the appropriate number of PTO hours on the timecard.

  • Additional Holidays Every day declared by the President, or the Governor of this State, as a public fast, mourning, thanksgiving, or holiday, or any day declared by the Governing Board under Education Code Section 45203 shall be a paid holiday for all employees in the bargaining unit.

  • Special Holidays A Special Holiday is a holiday declared a holiday by the University for its employees other than a Saturday, Sunday, General (Statutory) Holiday or day declared by the University to be in lieu of a Statutory Holiday.
