Extra Shift Incentive. At HFH’s discretion, an extra shift incentive may be implemented to incentivize RNs who volunteer to work extra shifts (part-time RNS) and overtime shifts (full-time RNs) above their FTE on an as needed basis. Incentive pay will be for a designated period of time, in designated units and for SPECIFIC shifts (not all unfilled shifts will be designated as incentive eligible). If incentive is approved, it will be applied as outlined below:
Extra Shift Incentive a. All Extra Shifts above and beyond normally scheduled, FTE status or Supplemental quarterly minimum requirements of Seventy-two (72) hours worked hours will be compensated for the duration of this agreement at double hourly rates.
Extra Shift Incentive. Where staffing options are determined by the manager to be exhausted, the manager may post incentive shifts as available for extra shift premium pay for eligible employees. Unless an employee is not scheduled for the week when the incentive shift occurs, or the employee is low censused during that week such that they cannot work their designated FTE, an employee must work their designated FTE (not less than 0.6 FTE) in addition to any extra shifts during the same workweek as the incentive shift in order to be eligible for extra shift premium. Once an employee has met these criteria, extra shift premium paid at a rate of time and a half the base rate of pay plus applicable shift differentials shall be granted for incentive shifts worked.
Extra Shift Incentive. 7 Any full- or part-time nurse will be paid an incentive of twenty dollars ($20.00) per 8 hour for all hours worked per week in excess of the number of the nurse’s regularly 9 scheduled hours for the week when such excess hours result from the nurse’s 10 working incentive shift(s), when designated as an incentive shift by the Hospital. A 11 supplemental nurse will be paid the incentive shift differential for all hours worked in 12 excess of 24 in the week when such excess hours result from the nurse’s working 13 incentive shift(s), when designated as an incentive shift by the Hospital. Factors that 14 the Hospital will consider when deciding whether to designate an open shift as an 15 incentive shift include but are not limited to: whether the staffing meets the minimum
Extra Shift Incentive. 25 The Hospital, at its sole discretion, may designate a shift as Extra Shift Incentive 26 eligible based on critical need, at a rate of time and one-half (1-½) the employee’s 27 base rate of pay. 29 Full-time and part-time nurses may sign up for an Extra Shift Incentive when a shift 30 remains open after all regular and PRN employees have had the opportunity to 1 meet their obligation to the schedule, and upon designation of that shift as Extra 2 Shift Incentive eligible. Shifts will be awarded on a first come first served basis. PRN 3 employees are not eligible for this incentive unless specifically authorized by 4 Hospital Administration.
Extra Shift Incentive. A nurse must work their designated FTE (not less than 0.6 FTE) at their base rate of pay in order to be eligible for extra shift premium. Hours worked in an overtime status as defined by Section 5.5 do not qualify towards fulfilling the designated FTE status. Once a nurse has met these criteria, at the discretion of the manager where other staffing options have been exhausted, extra shift premium paid at a rate of time and a half the base rate of pay plus applicable shift differentials may be granted for additional shifts worked. Where staffing options are determined by the manager to be exhausted, the manager may post shifts as available for extra shift premium pay for eligible nurses.
Extra Shift Incentive. The Hospital at its sole discretion may designate a shift as Extra Shift Incentive eligible based on critical need, at a rate of time and one-half (1½) the employee’s base rate of pay. Full-time and part-time nurses may sign up for an Extra Shift Incentive shift when a shift remains open after all regular and PRN employees have had the opportunity to meet their obligation to the schedule, and upon designation of that shift as Extra Shift Incen- tive eligible. Shifts will be awarded on a first come first served basis. PRN employees are not eligible for this incentive unless specifically authorized by Hospital Administra- tion. A nurse who fails to work his/her regular schedule due is not eligible for Extra Shift In- centive during that work week. A nurse who fails to work his/her regular scheduled shift due to involuntary low census is eligible for Extra Shift Incentive. Nurses scheduled for such shifts will be the first to be cancelled or called off in the event of low census. In times of extraordinary need, the Hospital at its sole discretion may temporarily in- crease this incentive to time and one-half (1½) the employee’s base rate of pay, plus an additional twenty dollars ($20.00) per hour.
Extra Shift Incentive. Where staffing options are determined by the manager to be exhausted, the manager may post incentive shifts as available for extra shift premium pay for eligible nurses. Unless a nurse is not scheduled for the week when the incentive shift occurs, or the nurse is low censused during that week such that they cannot work their designated FTE, a nurse must work their designated FTE (not less than 0.6 FTE) in addition to any extra shifts during the same workweek as the incentive shift in order to be eligible for extra shift premium. Once a nurse has met these criteria, at the discretion of the manager where other staffing options have been exhausted, extra shift premium paid at a rate of time and a half the base rate of pay plus applicable shift differentials shall be granted for incentive shifts worked.
Extra Shift Incentive. The Hospital may, within its sole discretion, designate any shift on the current schedule as an “incentive shift.” Employees who volunteer for and work such designated “incentive shift” (beyond the employee’s FTE pointage) will receive an extra shift incentive of double time (2x) for all hours included within that designated shift.
Extra Shift Incentive. 15.1 Employees may participate in the extra shift incentive as a measure to work with the Employer to reduce agency costs. Only permanent part-time Employees will be eligible and will be requested to sign a statement of their willingness to participate.
15.2 Employees will have their average fortnightly hours worked out retrospectively over the 12 month period prior to the inception date of their participation in order to ascertain a base figure of average hours worked in order to calculate what would be the extra shift.
15.3 An extra shift is defined as being a shift that is over the predetermined average fortnightly hours whereby the Employee makes themselves available and is called in to work for a shift that is not a rostered shift providing this does not exceed the equivalent of full-time hours as specified by Clause 12.
15.4 The incentive arrangements are:
15.4.1 The incentive rate will be 7.5% over the base rate as stated at Appendix One.
15.4.2 Overtime must be authorised by the Area Manager.
15.4.3 Overtime loading is 150% on first 5 hours, 200% thereafter.
15.4.4 Shift, Saturday and Sunday loading will be as per Clause 17.
15.4.5 All leave entitlements and productivity bonus will be accrued on base rate.
15.4.6 Only highest penalty will be payable as per sub-clause 11.18.
15.4.7 Hours worked on incentive rate will accrue Annual Leave, Long Service Leave, Accrued Days Off and Sick Leave.
15.4.8 Eligible for Superannuation or to arrange Salary Sacrifice as per Clause 35.
15.4.9 The incentive scheme set out in this clause will be reviewed every 12 months. In the event of total agency nursing hours exceeding 1.5% of the total nursing hours of that year, management will review and has the right to withdraw the incentive, giving staff participating in the extra shift incentive one month’s notice of the intention to cease the incentive.
15.4.10 At this time a meeting will be called to discuss the incentive scheme with participating Employees.
