UNIFORMS & WORK SHOES. 27.1 The County shall provide all employees required to wear uniforms with a full complement of uniforms, furnished and cleaned by a uniform service. A full complement of uniforms shall include a set of summer coveralls and two pairs of insulated winter coveralls. Employees shall wear required uniforms, including work shoes purchased by the County, during working hours and in the manner intended. 27.2 Each employee shall initially be permitted two pairs of steel toe work shoes, with the second pair to be worn whenever the first pair is wet or unusable, and thereafter shall be entitled to an annual (fiscal year) shoe allowance for the purchase of up to three pairs of steel toe work shoes as follows:

UNIFORMS & WORK SHOES. (a) The Company and the Union shall have the right to make reasonable specifications for the uniforms and equipment providing for any patterns, color or quality or material. Notwithstanding the provisions contained herein the Company retains the right to select and issue all uniforms. (b) The Company, at its own expense, will provide or have provided to each Bus Operator a uniform, agreed upon with the Union as to pattern, color, and quality and material, consisting of the following items: Trousers 5 Long-Sleeve Shirts 5 Short-Sleeve Shirts 5 Ties 1 Cap 1 Knit Hat 1 Safety Vest 1 The Company will give each Bus Operator an annual uniform credit of $165.00. The cost of each item of uniform issued will be deducted from the uniform credit until the credit is exhausted, at which time no new uniform items will be issued until the credit is restored. Unused credit will accumulate, but in no event will it be paid out as cash. Bus Operators will be allowed to purchase heavy winter coats from the Company at the prevailing cost to the Company if the Company is able to procure such coats. Each Bus Operator shall ensure that at all times a set of triangles is on board the bus he or she is operating. (c) The Company will provide each Maintenance Department employee with a uniform consisting of one (1) winter jacket and six (6) sets of pants and shirts. The Company will provide each part-time Maintenance Department employee with a uniform consisting of six (6) sets of pants and shirts. The Company will provide and pay for maintenance, including laundering, of the pants and shirts. The Company will also provide full-time utility one (1) fire-rated coverall. The coverall must be worn by all employees assigned to the fuel line. Starting in 2018, the Company shall allow each Maintenance Department employee to receive a shoe voucher of $195.00 every other year toward the purchase of new safety shoes (to be worn at all times while on duty), subject to paragraph (i) of this Section. (d) The Company shall have safety glasses available in the shops for the use of all Maintenance Department employees who require them in doing their work. Where necessary, prescription-type glasses will also be made available. Maintenance Department employees shall wear and make use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to, safety glasses, reflective wear, shoes, gloves, xxxxxxx, and facial masks as required by the Company.   • Safety Shoes 3901 Employees who are required to wear steel-toed safety shoes will receive $200 toward the purchase and/or replacement of these shoes in the first quarter of each year. Any employee out on an authorized leave shall receive payment within thirty days of their return to paid duty. New employees who are required to wear steel- toed safety shoes will receive $200 toward the purchase of shoes in their first paycheck; for employees hired on or after December 1, he/she shall not receive an additional $200 in the first quarter.

  • Annual Leave Loading During a period of annual leave an employee will receive a loading of 17.5 per cent calculated on the employee’s normal hourly rate of pay and the daily fares allowance if applicable. The loading will also apply to proportionate leave on lawful termination.

  • Sick Leave Verification Process a. The new school district shall provide the employee with the necessary verification form at the time the employee receives confirmation of employment in the school district. b. An employee must initiate the sick leave verification process and forward the necessary verification forms to the previous school district(s) within ninety (90) days of commencing employment with the new school district. c. The previous school district(s) shall make every reasonable effort to retrieve and verify the sick leave credits which the employee seeks to port.

  • Overtime Meals When employees are required to work more than two (2) hours beyond their regular work days, the Employer will provide hot meals at no cost to the employees, up to a maximum of sixteen dollars ($16.00) (receipts to be submitted) plus paid meal periods of one-half (1/2) hour at the prevailing rate and thereafter at four (4) hour intervals. Any early morning start before regular starting time is entitled to a paid meal. The breakfast limit is thirteen dollars ($13.00) (receipts to be submitted). Employees called out on overtime shall be paid for meals as above, after four (4) hours work.

  • Shiftwork (A) Where the Employee would have received shift loadings had the Employee not been on leave during the relevant period and such loadings would have entitled the Employee to a greater amount than a loading of 17.5% of the payment under clause 23.1(c), then the shift loadings must be added to the payment under clause 23.1(c)(i) instead of the 17.5% loading. (B) Provided further that if the shift allowance would have entitled the Employee to a lesser amount than the loading of 17.5% then such loading of 17.5% shall be used for the purpose of calculating annual leave loading in lieu of the shift allowance.
