Union Leave Account. A. On the first full pay period of January each year, the employer shall deduct two (2) hours of PTO from each bargaining unit member and add it to the PBA Union Leave Account. This Union Leave account will be maintained by the Union for the purpose of Union business. Requests for Union Leave shall be submitted for approval to the Union President or his/her designee 24 hours prior to the commencement of union leave. Salary and Overtime, if any, incurred in replacing the Union representative(s) authorized for union leave shall be deducted from the Union leave account.

Union Leave Account. The County will maintain a Union Leave Account for the purpose of allowing Union Stewards to perform representative activities as defined in Article 16 without a loss in pay provided there is an adequate balance in the Union Leave Account. Requests for Union Leave Account time shall be in writing and submitted using the same method as other types of leave, at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the commencement of leave. Following ratification, and each January thereafter, the County will provide a deduction authorization form to bargaining unit employees who may donate to the Union Time Account up to five (5) hours of accumulated annual leave annually, in one hour increments. Donations to the Account are not mandatory and deductions will be made only when an employee authorizes the deduction. The time a Union Xxxxxxx is engaged in onsite (Pasco County) representative activities as described in Article 16 B will be counted as time worked for overtime purposes if the Xxxxxxx is being paid from the Union Leave Account.

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.

  • Accumulation of Vacation Leave Credits 31.1.1 An employee shall earn in respect of each fiscal year, annual vacation leave with pay at the following rates for each calendar month in which the employee receives at least seventy-five (75) hours’ pay:

  • Vacation Leave on Retirement ‌ An employee scheduled to retire and to receive pension benefits under the Public Service Pension Plan Rules or who has reached the mandatory retiring age, shall be granted full vacation entitlement for the final calendar year of service.

  • Union Leave (a) Upon receiving a written request at least one (1) week in advance from the Union, the Company will grant leave of absence for not more than two (2) employees at any one time to attend Union conferences, conventions, or workshops, providing that the combined leaves of absence will not exceed forty (40) working days in any one (1) calendar year. Such leaves of absence will be without pay but with maintenance and accumulation of benefits (normal payroll deductions to apply).

  • Recall from Vacation Leave Where, during any period of vacation leave, an employee is recalled to duty, such employee shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses, as normally defined by the Employer, that such employee incurs:

  • Parental Leave/Adoption Leave An employee will be granted unpaid parental leave for a period up to and including thirty-five (35) weeks, upon request and verification of:

  • Annual Leave Accrual If an employee leaves State Classified employment and is later rehired, he/she shall accrue annual leave at the same rate as a new hire. However, once a rehired employee has been in pay status for five (5) years, all previous service time shall be credited for annual leave accrual. The only exception shall be for employees rehired who repay severance pay received.

  • Union Leaves Employees on Union Leaves will be treated as provided in Article 18 (Q) while working on Union leave.

  • Union Leave of Absence An employee on an unpaid Union leave of absence shall have her wages, benefits and seniority continued by the Employer, and the Union agrees to reimburse the Employer for the costs of such wages and benefits. Employees requesting leave under this article will provide the Employer with as much advance notice as possible of the dates of the leave. Where there are less than fifteen (15) regular employees at a workstation at the time the leave request is submitted, and subject to operational requirements, unpaid Union leave of absence will be granted to one employee for the purpose of conducting Union business. This would be an additional person on Union leave at worksites where the position of the Union President or Council member has been backfilled for the duration of their term of office. A leave of absence without pay shall be granted to an employee who is a member of the Union and who is:

  • Restoration of Vacation Leave In the event an employee is injured or becomes ill while on vacation leave, the employee may submit a written request to use sick leave and have the equivalent amount of vacation leave restored. The supervisor may require a written medical certificate.
