New employees shall be providedwith a copy of the list of Stewards provided to the Employer by the Union as per Article CONTRACTING OUT Prior to contracting out any work now performed by employees, beyond work contracted out as of the Employer shall, where practicable, forty-five (45) calendar days notice to the Union so as to allow the Union to make any representations it wishes to the Department Heads involved and the Regional Management Committee of Council. Any representations shall be made promptly and in any event within forty-five (45) calendar days of the giving of such notice. The written notice pursuant to the above shall contain an invitation from the Department Head to meet within ten days for the purpose of discussing the proposed contracting out and cost information. Departmental informationpertinent to proposedcontractingout shall be made available to the Union. EMPLOYEE LISTS (YORK REGION UNIT) The Employer shall supply the Union on or about the of April and October with a list of current employees, their addresses, sex, employment status, position, and work location and shall to supply the Union with its monthly and termination lists, for all employees in Local VACANCY REPORTS (YORK REGION The Employer will provide with copies of all Local vacancy posters (excluding casual work) where it is anticipated that the vacancy will not be by a Regionalemployee. DEFINITIONOF VOLUNTEER IN EMS Volunteers may be used for special events such as mail school displays, parades and any other event, which does not infringe on the usual work of Paramedics employed by the Region.
UNION ORIENTATION OF NEW EMPLOYEES. Whenever the City hires an employee within any classification covered by this Memorandum of Understanding and represented by the Union, as soon as possible the City will inform the employee that they are represented by the Union, inform the employee of the terms and provisions of this Memorandum of Understanding and will provide said employee with a copy of the current Memorandum of Understanding. The City shall make available up to two hours, at a mutually agreeable time, during the initial thirty (30) days of employment for new employee orientation by the Union. In addition, the City will also provide reasonable advance written notice to the Union of all employee orientations conducted by the City for its members, to include the date, time, and location of the orientation. Written notice shall be via email. The Union will be afforded the opportunity to have the Business Agent and/or a bargaining unit member (City employee) as representatives to meet with the new employee(s). The Union’s new employee orientation will be conducted during regular working hours on paid City time and at a mutually agreeable time approved by department management. At no time shall the Union’s new employee orientation result in any overtime or additional costs to the City. The Union will provide the City advance notice of the name(s) of the bargaining unit member(s) who they wish to attend the orientation.

  • No New Employees New employees shall not be hired until those laid off have been given an opportunity of recall.

  • New Employee Orientations The County shall provide the Union written notice of County-wide new employee orientations, whether in person or online, at least ten (10) business days prior to the orientation. The notice shall include time, date, and location of the orientation. Representatives of the Union shall be permitted to meet with the new employees for up to thirty (30) minutes during a portion of the orientation for which attendance is mandatory. The Union shall provide the County at least five (5) business days prior to the orientation any materials it would like the County to distribute to new employees at the orientation. If the Union staff are unavailable, the County shall grant release time for one (1) union xxxxxxx to attend the orientation pursuant to Section 6.2.1 The County shall make best efforts to provide the Union with the name, job title, department, work location, work, home and personal cellular telephone numbers, personal email addresses, and home addresses of all employees in the bargaining unit every 90 days, but no less than once every 120 days.

  • New Employee Orientation The Union will provide each agency personnel director with the names and addresses of up to two (2) authorized Union representatives per agency to receive notice of each formal orientation meeting held by the Department. The notice will be sent as soon as such meetings are scheduled (but not less than ten (10) days in advance) and will include date, time and location. Due to operational exigencies, agencies may schedule an orientation which will provide the Union with less than the requisite ten (10) days' notice; however the Union shall be notified as soon as possible after the scheduling of the orientation and the Union representative shall be released from duty. Agencies shall routinely schedule orientations in a manner that will allow for the ten (10) day advance notice to the Union. During the formal orientation, the Union will be permitted to give a twenty (20) minute presentation which may include an enrollment in supplemental Union benefits. The parties shall encourage employee attendance, although attendance shall not be mandatory if an employee objects to attending the presentation. In the event a formal orientation meeting is not held, or the Union is unable to attend the formal orientation because the designated Union representatives cannot be released under Article 4, the Employer shall allow the Union representative and the employee(s) to meet during duty hours at a mutually agreed upon time and location for twenty (20) minutes Employee participation in these meetings shall be encouraged although an employee shall not be required to attend such a meeting.

  • Admission of New Members The Company may admit new Members (or transferees of any interests of existing Members) into the Company by the unanimous vote or consent of the Members. As a condition to the admission of a new Member, such Member shall execute and acknowledge such instruments, in form and substance satisfactory to the Company, as the Company may deem necessary or desirable to effectuate such admission and to confirm the agreement of such Member to be bound by all of the terms, covenants and conditions of this Agreement, as the same may have been amended. Such new Member shall pay all reasonable expenses in connection with such admission, including without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees and the cost of the preparation, filing or publication of any amendment to this Agreement or the Articles of Organization, which the Company may deem necessary or desirable in connection with such admission. No new Member shall be entitled to any retroactive allocation of income, losses, or expense deductions of the Company. The Company may make pro rata allocations of income, losses or expense deductions to a new Member for that portion of the tax year in which the Member was admitted in accordance with Section 706(d) of the Internal Revenue Code and regulations thereunder. In no event shall a new Member be admitted to the Company if such admission would be in violation of applicable Federal or State securities laws or would adversely affect the treatment of the Company as a partnership for income tax purposes.
